    Hmmm. Looks familiar.

    Very weird C spring install...

Quasi off-topic to ChrisXoxide: did you do the install yourself? If so, how difficult was it? In other words, could a hack (hypothetically, of course :)) do the install?

    Best $1000 HP mods

I believe T/A is timing adjustor, which would fit into power mods. Then again, I could be wrong.

    Shifter handle lenghs?

I thought the MGW handle was completely adjustable? That's their big claim on the website, at least. I had thought about ordering it myself, and its adjustability was one of big reasons. Hmmm.

    Wheel Question

Thanks. I figured as much. The wheels are advertised as 15", but I wondered. I know the base wheel for the 2003-4 V6 is 16", but I wasn't sure about the '99s. Either way, with a thinner wheel and snow tires, I figure it will perform a little better in the snow.

    Wheel Question

I want to get some smaller wheels and snow tires to get through the Nebraska winters (I love my Stang, but it's no snow beast). Is there any reason that 15" OEM wheels from a 99 GT wouldn't fit a 2004 GT? Both have 5 bolt patterns (both 4 1/2" I think). Could I just replace my 17" OEM wheels...

Question about Shifting procedures on 02 GT

If you've seen the Tremec 3650 thread, then you are aware of some of the problems with that transmission. The 1/2 and 2/3 shifts in my '04 are definitely notchier than in any other car or truck I've had. However, I don't feel like anything is grinding or abrading; it's just not as smooth as I'd...

    Interior Upgrade Package

I know you've made your decision, but I would point out one thing: in my case, the hood/bezel on the guage pod is the same med. charcoal as the rest of the interior. Only the center console bezel is contrasted. At any rate, you're right about the leather knobs -- probably going to be replaced...

    Interior Upgrade Package

The center console bezel is also a lighter grey (brushed aluminum look -- but plastic) with the med charcoal interior. So: - center console bezel - shift boot bezel - bullitt pedals - door locks - headrests, apparently. I honestly didn't notice. - According to the Ford website, there is...

    can the 04 mach 460 play mp3s?

Crud. That seems like a major oversight on Ford's part. In this day and age, why in the world would you include as standard a stereo that doesn't play MP3? It not like this is a groundbreaking new audio format. Oh well. I suppose I had to have one complaint about the car, minor as it is.

    can the 04 mach 460 play mp3s?

Or can only the mach mp3 do that? I did a search earlier and saw that the 02 mach 460 is not mp3 capable. Did Ford remedy this? Or is it an either/or situation?

New User/New Owner - Springs question

Looks great. Love the wheels too. I appreciate everybody's input; it's clear that I have a lot to learn yet, but this board has a lot of knowledgeable people. What I have gotten from this is that if I'm going to do it, I'd rather do it right. I know some of the differences in suggestions have...

New User/New Owner - Springs question

Good point, especially cost-wise. No matter which way I go, I suppose it would be a good idea to get shock/struts, too. Or are the stock ones sufficient?

New User/New Owner - Springs question

I was really thinking about the sportlines, too. However, it's my understanding that if you go lower than 1.75", you need new camber/caster plates. I think the sportlines go 2", and I'm really not too hot on spending the extra cash right away. Something to think about, though.

New User/New Owner - Springs question

Hey all, new Stang owner here ('04 GT - competition orange). I've been lurking for a couple of months, trying to learn as much as possible. I would like to do some basic mods to my car, and I have a question about lowering springs: it seems as if Eibach pro-kit and sportline are the popular...
