    Overheating

Agreed, check to make sure no debris is in front of the condensor, maybe leaves or something. Good luck.

Idle Problems.. new thread for problems

Poster - When you say you rev it up, and it comes back down to 1200 for a second, and then down to the base idle, that sounds normal to me. Not trying at all to say you don't have a problem. In neutral sitting still if I rev it up, the idle drops back down to around 1300 for a few seconds...

    Tire sizes. I apologize.

That's what I had 245/50 rear, but I think I had the stock 225/55 in front. Not certain though, it's been a while since I had those wheels. Good luck.

Where to get the thick valve cover gaskets.

Does anyone know where to get the thick valve cover gaskets. I've checked Jegs, Summit, and 50Resto. I want to put in a second PCV on the drivers side valve cover, and just want to make sure the PCV does hit the roller rockers. Thanks to anyone that can help. Joe

Which way for Oil Pump Shaft

Very sorry for the slight jack of the your thread. So if mine is in upside down would I have to pull the oil pan to make it right? Or, should I just go with it the way it is, and if I have to pull the distributor just be very very careful. Again, sorry for the jack. Thanks....

    oil pan question

Not sure about the RTV on the pickup, I guess RTV black would be ok, but I'm not sure. I would use the metal pieces on each side of the pan, because it makes for a more even seal, distributes the seal more evenly. JMHO Good luck.

Which way for Oil Pump Shaft

Uh ohh. So the stop "washer" on the shaft goes on the top side by the distributor, and not on the bottom by the pump? Basically drop it in the way it is in his picture? Would you say it's dangerous to have it the other way? I think mine may be upside down. Thanks..

    Tough to start when hot.

ECT Voltage was a bit off, so I replaced the sensor, and cleaned out the MAF. Started up really good, when it stops raining will get it up to temp. and see how it does. I'll update later. Joe

    Tough to start when hot.

Your absolutley right Jrichker i might as well put my Fluke to some good use. The TFI is a year old so im hoping it's not that. This is probably a silly question, but could you please tell me exactly what the PIP sensor is, and where its located on the distriubutor and how i would go about...

    Tough to start when hot.

I dont turn the key completley off, just relax it to the run position. When i do hold the pedal to the floor, it starts right up, but it also starts right up when I just relax the key to run and then turn it to start right again. I haven't checked the voltage on the ect yet, I have to run to...

    Tough to start when hot.

Gotcha Hissin.... I have been trying to build some data on when it doesn't start right up as far as should I hold the gas pedal to the floor as if it's flooding out, or do I need to pump the gas as if maybe it's not getting enough fuel. It's a bit tough to do that though, because when it does...

Quick question about the Trick Flow intake.

On the drivers side of the intake there is a T-fitting with the hose from the PCV, and a big "J" looking hose that goes to the under side of the intake. My "J" looking hose has some cracks in it. Can I just remove the hose and plug the ports, or do I need to have that hose on there? Thanks...

    Tough to start when hot.

I've been searching the threads about this to solve my issue, but thought I'd throw it out there again. Sorry for the repetition. The car starts up quick first try when it's all cooled down (first start of the day), but if I shut it off after it's up to temperature 180* it will crank for 10-15...
