    That's understandable, though. They're manufacturing them for UP. It's just like Scat seats - you can get the same stitch pattern as the 500E, but they won't sell them with the Shelby name on them because it's trademarked and would put their deal with UP in jeopardy.

    Yeah, but the shift seems farther forward on the classics that I would think a very short throw shifter like I had in my 5.0 would be damn hard to reach. :)

    How do you do a short-throw shifter in a classic ? I have to admit, about the only strike against going with a T5 instead of an AOD to me is my recollections of driving a '67 with a T5 and the almost absurdly long throw shifter necessary to let you reach it. :)
