    there is a vacuum tree under your upper intake manifold that is where it goes from the tree to the PCV valve in the back of the lower manifold.

    on my 91 stang i got ford's PA 6g alt. which i dont know if they make it anymore, but it smaller then the 3g and is the 130amp alt, and weights about 2 pounds less then the 3g also, had to do a few harness mods but fits good.

    i removed mine with the air pump and egr system. doesnt smell in the car or outside around the car. and i get 28-30 mpg highway. no cods, no idle issuses, nothing.

    i took the nut off with the alt. on and belt on and came right off and put a march pulley on it. bad idea had charging issues becuase the pulley is like 3.25 inches dia. so i put the stock smaller one back on. then upgraded to a 6G 130amp alt.

    i have d & d front coil over kit, but im looking to buy there rear kit as well, but i have KYB shocks and they told me KYB wont fit, how come? what do i need to do to make them fit or what shocks do i need to buy to make it work? Nick

    Diagnose my mustang!

    my stang makes a clunking sound too. i took it to a shop to have a tranny flush and i told them to check the univeral joints. they said they are fine but it was my pinion bearing is bad. a few hunderedth of wear can cause the clunking sound as it moves in the 3rd member. nick

    Weight savings?

    take out insulation car lost 30 punds that way and any unessarly accessories under the hood. race seats find them cheap (eBay) and weight a lot less then stock. Nick
