Need New Radiator Advice PepBoys / AUtozone ?

The autozone unit is plastic tanks on the sides an aluminum fins. Dunno about the innards of the thing but looks very well made. Fit better than the original Ford radiator (yes, I still have it) that came out of the car prior to the leaky Fluidyne garbage I put in it.

Need New Radiator Advice PepBoys / AUtozone ?

I really hate to admit it, but I had a Fluidyne that started leaking at 13 months (yes, 1 month out of warranty, and they wouldn't do ANYTHING about it, absolute JUNK, don't waste your money)... So I bought the Chinese-made LLT (limited lifetime) radiator at AutoZone for our cars, and...

    HELP! Blown injector O-Ring???

Might as well re-ring all your injectors on that rail (there are o-rings on the top and bottom of each injector). It's pretty cheap to do and since you'll lift the rail you might as well. That side is pretty easy to do. I had one start squirting gas on my driver's side a couple winters ago...

    Installed Magnaflow cat-back today

Ditto on the fitment. My right side tip is always up near the bumper, and it will find it's way back up there if I adjust and re-tighten. It seems like they just don't bend the pipes past the mufflers just right. But it does have a great sound to it. SS

Tri-Ax owners...upper setting or lower setting?

I like it in the lower position since it seems to put it in a more "natural" shifting position. Haven't really tried it much in the upper setting, but quick shifts are something I can't do much anyhow (trashed T/O bearing, T5 needs a rebuild). I hope Ford gets the shifter position right on...

Wobbles During Braking...Have NEW Rotors and Pads. What Is It?

Might wanna check for vacuum leaks. I run a B303 cam and it takes a lot of vacuum away from me so my brakes (when below 1500RPM) pulsate somewhat as the cam turns...as I understand it this can cause your brake booster to pulsate in strength. Of course it doesn't help that I have big 13"...

    Help me choose lowering springs!

This is my '94 that seemed to sit higher than most '94-95s that I saw around. It has "C" springs with brand new poly-isolators all the way around, no coils cut...and I like it. I would probably lop off a half-coil in the back if I ever took 'em off to even things out, but it looks mean...

How to seat (direction) coil springs?

Your rear spring orientation is correct... However on the fronts there is a "pocket" in the lower "A" arm they sit in. The idea is to put the bottom of the spring in so the end of the spring sits just before the hole that is in the lower "A" arm to allow moisture drainage. You do not want...

    anyone have problems w/ 50resto.com

Only problem I had with them is I ordered a set of Cobra "style" headlights from them and they shipped clear "style" headlights and corners for a '87-'93. The part numbers ordered versus what was on the invoice and individual boxes didn't even match. But I called them and they gave an RMA#...

    hot starts....annoying....

The TFI was moved under the air cleaner assembly to promote better cooling across the device. Ford will NEVER admit the TFI was put in a bad spot when mounted directly to a heatsink on the distributor itself, but ask any auto parts guy who's been there a while and I'm sure he's sold a lot of...

    hot starts....annoying....

I wouldn't chalk it up completely to a bad fuel pump... I've tried two new Walbro's since I've had this car and it usually will not hot start good at all. Typically if I stop at a gas station the car will not restart for about 5 mins. I don't know what the gremlin is. It just turns and...

Anybody paint their X or H-pipe?

Believe it or not that's an idea I was already thinking about. I don't really care about bling-bling or someone underneath my car admiring my shiny H-pipe, but rather just to have it not look so rough. Thanks! Anymore?

Anybody paint their X or H-pipe?

Hey guys... Getting ready to get my car inspected and then drop the tranny for a clutch swap...so when I do that I will be taking the catted Bassani X-pipe off and putting the good old MAC ProChamber H-pipe back on. Problem is it's been in my garage for a year or so and it looks pretty...

    Lowered Car, now grinding noise?

Another vote for the e-brake cable/bracket assembly hitting the driveshaft. My car was doing it the first time I had passengers in the back and I was like, WHAT IS THAT NOISE?! You will see a shiny ring around the driveshaft where contact is being made. It gets worse after you lower...

    Interesting Discovery...

The stock gauges are really nothing more than idiot lights. Esp. the oil/water/volt since they are designed to show a value on a scale that is either in or out of limits, not exactly what the value is. As far as your car heating up, how do you know it's really getting that hot? Between A...

Sweet audio of startup and WOT!!!!!!

Magnapacks definately have a much different sound to them versus my standard Magnaflow catback. I think the Magnaflow is definately good for getting looks, but the Magnapacks are for getting attention and tickets... But to each his own, it still sounds mean. SS

How much will it cost for Ford to install a clutch?

I found this link incredibly handy... http://www.veryuseful.com/mustang/tech/general/trannyRemoval/index.html It's even using our years cars....I'm gonna be sticking my SPEC Stage 1 in as soon as the temperature breaks here...can't wait. SS

    Rollcall...Fluidyne Owners Report!

Surprised to see this thread got dug up again. Anyway, follow-up on my Fluidyne... It started leaking at 14 months from install and less than 5000 total miles on it. Leaking on the driver's side where the fins and tank meet up. A "Customer Service Request" on Fluidyne's website got me...

Judging by his posting signature he has the Griggs suspension setup. It is a packaged deal with springs/struts/chassis stiffening/etc. SS
