    Check your trans mount, I know mine was loose at one point when I checked it after I noticed some vibration. Tighten the sh1t out of it. Could also be a motor mount too.

    girdle isn't going to keep you from cracking the block, but it will TRY and keep it semi-together in case you do. If you've ever seen an overworked 5.0 thats literally split in half (which is usually what happens) you'll know what the girdles for.

    Powerband is low, I know, I'm running out of fuel up top. I go lean from 9500 rpm on up. My little 850 lb injectors can't take it, I'm building my own set of custom injectors. Using a garden hose nozzle, a marble, and some cryogenically treated teflon tape.
