    I don't know anything about a "bump" but I know if you remove the swirl dams it lowers the compression.

    If I remember correctly, it's the big red one. Don't the instructions show the wire? At least that's the one I attached it too and no problems since they have been installed (about a year)

    Does it do it when you back up and brake? If not, try checking to see if your struts and tight. Check the two bolts that connect to the front wheel assembly. EDIT If that's not it, cross your fingers and hope it's not the wheel hub/bearing assembly.

    Yes. You'll notice it pulls alot harder in the higher RPM's. Typical gains, depending on other mods, have gone from 15 - 20 hp. Some may say more, but I have only seen dyno sheets reflecting 15 - 20.

    I don't think you need new studs, just new gaskets. That's all I replaced on my car, but then again I have a 98'.

    I sorta agree with you because I bought the plates. I lost torque due to the drop in compression from the 1 inch thickness of the plate. At least that's my theory. HOWEVER....I did notice it pulled alot harder up top and I'm pretty sure some of that can be attributed to the smoother...

    nothing to the intake, but I have heard people doing a lil P&P on the TB and plenum. Not sure of the gains, but I'm sure it would be better then stock. I noticed you're putting down 230 with only a CAI and a cat back. Those are GREAT numbers, you have a dyno sheet?
