    I would be hesitant to use the terms "you'll be fine or safe". Too many variables and unknowns. There will always be a risk of causing damage to stock components under boost, and the risk just gets higher as the power level climbs. So much also depends on the usage and that doesn't reveal...

    Mate of mine has a Saleen blower. Very happy with. He has stock motor, trans, rear etc, so no crazy boost. He's pulling 11.6 in the 1/4 with DRs with a pretty basic tune

    I don't know...I own the car but Lance does the race driving. We have a little team going and Lance is the one getting his NHRA race license. I'm too old, too slow, too inexperienced to race a car into the 9s.

    ok so this is my S/C plan....

    My car has a transmission oil temp gauge. Important gauge if you're using a transbrake. Oil temps can climb 50 degrees per second. Otherwise maybe not so useful.

    A buddy blew something in his motor about 2 weeks back. He has a 67mm and was at about 510 rear wheel torque. No guarantees even with built motors, trasnsmissions, rearends etc.

    well I do know someone locally that lost his automatic trasnsmission at 440 rwhp. A lot will depend on your driving habits. There are no guarantees, even with built motors, transmissions, rearends etc.

    Just remember that the stickier the tire, the worse it will be at evacuating water. My car is never ever street raced...don't even have drag radials for street use.

    My car has 15 inch Bogarts. Yes had to use swaybar relocation bracket. Pic shows the Hoosier slicks but just changed back to MT slicks (not drag radials)

    Turbo help

    T3s are usually for twins and T4s for singles. Read the turbo sizing/buyer's guide in November Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords. Very important you buy the correctly sized turbo, for your specific application and bigger is not necessarily better.

    57...I drive it on the street only, maybe 15 miles a week. The race driver, Lance, is mid 30s, and applying for his NHRA race license. My reflexes are a little too slow, my eyesight a little too poor, to pass the physical. Besides that, I don't have the skills to drive this car into the 9s...lol

    How fast do you want to go? How consistent do you want to be? Our car is setup for bracket racing where 1/100s of second wins or loses.

    Have a 4 inch cowel. Quite common place at the strip. Don't see many on the street and for good reason...vision obscurement. 4 inch is too much for regular street use. 2" cowl...lot more practical.

    There are a lot more people out there blowing up stuff (blocks, transmissions, rearends), than forums would suggest and at less than 500 rear wheel.
