Did some autocrossing for the first time

Nah,no bottle in the car. I'm thinking a small shot might have held though, the fresh asphalt really has grip. I thought I was gonna be all over the road with the back end but it stuck amazingly well.

Did some autocrossing for the first time

Went out this past thursday night with my buddy, who's a member of the local BMW club,to a local go-kart track. It was repaved last year and has become a great little place to run a car. The local SCCA,Corvette club, and the BMW club have used it quite a few times now. Anyways, that was my...

That one above is for a standard non-amped system. You need the one that has the same grey conector but the black is a small square one. Scosche prt# 70-1550-1

Installing Pioneer Avic D3, speakers? Factory Amps?

You can fit aftermarket tweeters easily in the factory locations but if you use the factory amp to power them, you will damage them if you like to turn the system up for any length of time. Any aftermarket tweet from 3/4" to 1 1/4" is not designed to run at as low of a frequency as the mach 460...

Installing Pioneer Avic D3, speakers? Factory Amps?

Yes aftermarket speakers will make a big difference, but the problem lies in how the factory mach system is set up,but i'll explain that in a second. First to reuse the mach sound system you need a Scosche part number 70-1550-1. It will take the low level signal from the D3 and feed it into the...

Car Audio Wiring - Need Help!

You can go through the rubber gromet that the clutch cable passes throug or the gromet that some of the factory wiring goes through. It's located higher up and is a better location to reduce the chances of having the wire stepped on or exposed in any way. You do need to be more careful when...

    Getting a motor rebuilt

Sounds like you have f'ed up some valves. If your tensioners were makin noise then you may have jumped a tooth on one or both cam gears. Sucks but yeah-SGI salvage or if you go the rebuild route then I know Sheldon has a good reputation.

Where did everybody go? Part 2

I'm still here, but just not as actively as I used to be. Finding it less entertaining to talk about what I'm doing to the car, than actually doing something to it. Seems lots of guys feel the same way since I know alot of the regina guys are all working on something(myself included).

Who would be interested in a custom tune?

I'd be interested,I know I've got some bugs I'd like worked out on my car. But it depends on where, when and how much. Plus will he be working with SCT or Diablosport exclusively?

How low can you go with high-flow injectors?

You should try and be realistic about your ultimate power goals. Yes the 60's may be a good price but the Siemens are a low impedence set, right? So you're going to need an injector driver. There are high-impedence units on the market now up to 50 lbs/hr(maybe bigger but that's the largest i've...
