maybe for a brand new used one (still unlikely)?????
not for a slightly used one thought, in the auto trader sites used cobras are getting alot cheaper,,,,,,,,
I would consider getting one with 10,000 on it cause I would save a ton o cash....
if you got a blank check you dont send in your engine to SHM , you buy a whole new one from them fully assembled and complete. (not that I am eyeing up one)
If you can easily affort the 8 , you love acceleration, and you like torque then you will be very dissapointed in the 6 if you get it and then later drive a 8 and see what a 8 feels like. very very very dissapointed.........amen
its like the difference between flying or taking a transit...
For you who have seen this motortrend article,
do they specifically mention a 6.2 liter V8 for use in a future mustang?
do they mention what type of valve arrangement it might have? (such as DOHC)
thanks (no need to get offended guys, Im not calling you liars , I am just wondering what...
yah, who knows ? since I dont have that issue and theres no link to it that reassures me none.
wish I could see that article and see exactly what they do claim......
I would love to hear confirmation from Ford that they will be producing a 6.2 DOHC engine for a stang of the future. Massive displacement mated to current technology. bitchin.
Anyone who (if given the choice) would take a 5.0 over a 5.4 for the same price deserves to be given the 5.0 instead of the 5.4. The 5.4 could produce a reliable na. 400hp with less rpms than a 5.0 and would produce better torque numbers at a lower compression. (no premium gas needed)
I wont...
Theres nothing wrong with lower hp/liter numbers , if it means having a more reliable, lower octane gas burning, naturally aspirated, longing lasting engine that has more torque .
Some people are impressed by getting 100hp/liter but Id rather have a 5.4 with 400 hp that rumbles low and...
I like that too! I want them both with forged internals so I can boost the 5.4 up to 500. I would get the one with the 5.4 for the sound and the torque.
geee..... guess Im wrong....i guess most people DONT want spoilers on their GTs?
I wonder why Ford puts em on if most people dont want them????
hmmmm..... we got a mystery here. :bs:
you guys can come on here and argue all you want about how nice the stang looks WITHOUT a spoiler...
but the tough truth is that Ford will be putting spoilers on the GT now and in the future so DEAL WITH IT. :rlaugh: and you know why??? Ill tell you why, its cause most people think it looks...
With....
the current spoilers on the stangs are so refined and classy looking that anyone who could ever label them ricey is an idiot.
And for the "mature look" guys, if you want that get a family sedan, I want a car that looks as aggressive as it performs.
But they also sell much less of those special edition stangs than they do GT's and the vast majority seem to want the fake scoops , otherwise they wouldnt have been putting them on the GT the last several years.
So regardless of what some guys want, what sells the most is what will appear on...
Who thinks the new stang would look better with air scoops? and why?
Do you think the mustangs with scoops look better??
Do you think Ford will put scoops on the 06 GT??
Yes , they do look better. Its the imports that try to imitate the American musclecars not the otherway around...
