    Belt Squeak...Possible Cures?

Not sure about the power steering pump. Since that's always on I'd imagine it would be a little more difficult to turn. Another idea is to run your car with and without the AC on and see if it still squeaks. It's probably easy to spin since the clutch isn't engaged.

    Belt Squeak...Possible Cures?

Something is having difficulty spinning which is causing the belt to slip, thus the squeaking. My friends smog pump froze, changed that and the squeal went away. I'd check your fan clutch and smog pump and see how freely they turn.

    Suspension

I'd think a tubular k-member wouldn't do much except save some weight and space. I have bilsteins struts and shocks on mine and love them with the Ford C springs. If you plan on using your car as a daily driver and dragging it you might want to look into tokico adjustables (though from your...

    suspension recomendation

Budget yeah, but if he's considering tokico's might as well consider bilsteins, price isn't all that different. KYB on the other hand is dirt cheap. I was thinking the tokico illuminas, the HPs are rather cheaper. I'd get tokico over kyb.

Going to atempt to replace struts using hand tools

We tried that with a huge (2 foot) pry bar and it snapped the top of the strut piece off. That's when we turned to an impact chisel. Screw driver won't cut it, especially if these are still the stock struts, I'd use a pry bar or crow bar if you got one, definitely need 2 peeps for that.

    Bat relocation ,right or left?

Definitely a smaller gauge 1 or 0 because of the longer run. Current travels along the outer shell of a strand of wire where the resistance is smallest. Smaller gauge equals more strands equals smaller resistance equals less power wasted heating the wire.

Going to atempt to replace struts using hand tools

Yeah, that's where the impact wrench came into play, if you wack it hard enough, fast enough, long enough, it will break free. I'm guessing you don't have access to air tools... Try using vise grips on the shaft, it get's pretty slippery due to it being hardened and shiny (polished). And...

Going to atempt to replace struts using hand tools

I used nothing more than a couple sockets, a 12inch steel tube (breaker bar) to do mine, well to do one. I had to use an impact wrench and impact cutter to get the top nut off one strut. The car was definitely not taken care of by the preivous owner... But you shouldn't need anything more...

    suspension recomendation

I'd go with the bilsteins (actually I did go with the bilsteins), set cost 459 shipped from ebay. I can vouch for the guy it's where I got mine. ANYthing is better than stock. Especially old stock struts and shocks. Urethane bushings are a little stiffer than stock rubber and I myself have...

why would the idiot light for airbag come on?

Be careful with those sensors. You don't want it going off while you're playing with them. If that turns up nothing that power supply might be bad. It's located underneath the dash on the passenger side. Let me know if you want help finding it. I have my dash apart and can take a pic...
