how do i find out??

Bueller...Bueller? Fry...Fry?

When you pull the motor you can take it to a machine shop. If you have never blown the motor, you can probably do a .030 overbore and use it. The only way you would have to junk it would be if you cracked the block or damaged it from a walking crank, blown rod, or seize caused by lack of oil.

well, almost any block can be used, to get the best performance out of a used block you may need to bore it out just a little, to bring it back to life. but thats about it i think.

Trying to help out..

My friend is doing his right now though. I'd say check for hairline cracks and definitely get the block honed, that's what my buddy's doing.

i see well there is no way the block is cracked cause it would not be running like it is....smoked an lt-1 the other night... :owned: so i guess ill just have to keep it well maintained untill im ready to do it and then get it bored to 306...sounds good
