    Boost with a stock carb????

    Is it posible to run boost with a normal carb, if you put it in a box, and pressurize the box? Or do you still have to have a special blow though carb?

    I'm not super sure, but I always heard that the non roller motors had stronger blocks. You can convert it to roller, but it's not cheap, if it were me, I'd get a roller block.

    You don't have to have the metal strips, I just screwed the bottom in and on the top there is plenty of room for some very good 3m molding tape. :) Looks great, and works great.

    It sounds like your control arm is frozen, I've never come across that, but if it still doesn't compress at all with a new strut, then that spring is either meant to be on a train or your control arm is frozen.

    They will bolt up, but your first restriction is the intake, so you probably won't notice much of an improvement untill you get the intake taken care of. Search for tmoss, he ports the lower for $80 and it will flow enough for you to make quite a bit more power.

    Yeah, check header gasket, I bent all the pushrods in my motor, and it didn't click bad enough to be scary.

    How are the plugs and wires? Does it miss at idle, if so did you do a compression test? If it misses at idle, get some sparkplug wire pliers and pull of wires till you find the bad cylinder(s) and go from there.

    Real diff between A9L and A9P???

    I run a A9P. It does not retard timing between shifts, that is the only difference between the two. A9P is acutally better. With a A9L, I'd get a slight hesitation when I'd shift, with A9P, no hesitation. Oh yeah, the AOD has NO electronics. The AODE is the one with electronics.
