whats a fair price for a base gt

Yeah. I got lucky on that one. The dealer actually contacted ME instead of the other way around. And this was in November of '04 when the cars were REALLY hard to get. (took 4 months for it to come in) Without using any plans at all it was $200 under invoice plus I used the AQHA discount so...

whats a fair price for a base gt

MSRP for an '06 Mustang GT deluxe? That's WAY too much! Invoice price is fair. Less than invoice is a good deal. Shouldn't be hard to get that either. That car will actually be hard for the dealership to move. 1. It's a deluxe and, unlike me, most people want leather. 2. No Shaker 500 &...

    Got a woody! (steering wheel)

Insane? Somebody called me? :D $500 was actually the top number I had in mind at first... then I just couldn't stop thinking about it. New pics.

    Got a woody! (steering wheel)

Please. Don't remind me. :D So now I'm curious. Of the people who like it and would buy it if it wasn't for the steep price, what would you consider a reasonable price?

    Got a woody! (steering wheel)

Thanks, everybody. I have a tendency to do mods like that. Back when I had my '03, my friends said I was crazy for spending $300 to get orange turn signals. Little did they know how much worse it would get.:D I told them I'd be the only GT with them because no one else was dumb enough to pay...

I kept meaning to ask everytime I talked to the guy and completely forgot. I'll try to find out. Here's the best close-up I have.

    Got a woody! (steering wheel)

It's amazing! You'd never believe how good it feels. I was real worried it was going to be slippery, especially if my hands were sweaty, but it's not at all. It's slick but not slippery, if that makes any sense. IMO, it feels better than the leather. VERY comfortable.

    Got a woody! (steering wheel)

I LOVE the wood steering wheels in the old Shelbys. (probably because my '65 fastback came with one) So I when I saw that someone was making these for the 05's, I HAD to have one! Now some blue stripes and I'll be Shelby-ized. :D Got it from a company called Alliance Technology...

what will "Alloy Grey" look like for 07?

Three greys on one car??? Satin Silver, Alloy, & Tungsten. Talk about bland. Should've kept Screaming Yellow to go with Valencia to brighten up the palet. And a real blue would be nice. Haven't seen that in a few years.

Where is the cheapest place for SLP Loudmouth axel backs???

That was actually the old price. SLP raised the price over 6 months ago. Sonds like the ad didn't get updated. Legally, you can hold them to that price. $314 for two pipes and two tips is outrageous.

    Key Fob window down??????

That's really weird. I'd have that checked out. I've had mine for a year now and never had any problems like that.

    Axle-back, any gain?

Overall, you actually lose a little, but down low, where it's needed, you pick up a lot.
  19. Stangnut

    Axle-back, any gain?

The only advantage other than sound is in low end torque & hp. IIRC, at 2200 RPM, the gains were around 40hp & 28 ft-lbs. Which is EXACTLY where the 4.6L motors really need the gains. The numbers start to drop off pretty fast and by the time you're up to 4000 RPM there's no gains at all...

    Key Fob window down??????

    1. No 2. No Shaking the seat isn't going to set it off. It's not that kind of alarm. Yes, you have the Active Anti-Theft option.
