    Zo6

I'm betting it will be about 6 months before we see the thread "How do I run down a ZR1?" A C5 Z06 will dyno around 375hp. A C6 Z06 will dyno about 100hp more, and has run in the 10s bone stock. 3100lbs is light? You guys have low standards.

EMERGENCY MY MUSTANG GT CONVERTIBLE APPEARS TO BE STOLEN SOMEBODY HELP ME QUICKLY

I do see a flaw in the story. Loan cheques ARE certified and CANNOT BE CANCELLED. If you say a cheque is lost, you have to sign an agreement that says it will never be cashed, and you are liable if it ever does get cashed. After that, you have to pay for a new cheque.

EMERGENCY MY MUSTANG GT CONVERTIBLE APPEARS TO BE STOLEN SOMEBODY HELP ME QUICKLY

If the car gets sold for $0, doesn't a buyer still need to "pay" for it...i.e. write a check for $0? I remember hearing something about this.

    Respect

When I had my de-badged 5.0, usually the only people who wanted to race me were in Mustangs.

How old were you when you got your first stang?

Bought my '64 coupe as a project when I was 13, for $405. Absolute steal. Bought my '88 GT from a salvage auction when I was 15 and fixed it up.

    Think 5.0Resto has this?

They originally came on 300ZX twin turbos, IIRC. Yes, originally. Someone at Nissan probably had a great laugh over that one.

    Kenne Bell FTW!

Make a junkyard twin turbo setup. More power, less money and you'll get great satisfaction from knowing that you built it yourself.

Your opinion on a wing for my buddy's Supra

Someone post the 2JZ swap with NAS picture... BTW, just because it's non-turbo, doesn't mean it's slow. A N/A Supra is in the same ballpark as a stock 5.0.

    Rookie TBI questions..

TBI = Throttle Body Injection, a primitive fuel injection abortion that sucked. You want a throttle body. Stock is under 60mm, so really anything is an upgrade. 65mm is a good size for minor bolt-ons. MAF meter - Only use it if you know what injectors it's matched to. Don't know? Don't use...

Your opinion on a wing for my buddy's Supra

Dennis, I agree with 25th. Who do you think YOU are? Basically everything you mentioned in that little speech of yours was stupid and/or wrong. I'm not even going to bother taking this one to PMs because it would be a waste of my time. 25th, you're saying all the things I wish I would say on...

So why aren't there are CVT trannies for sport/muscle cars?

Parasitic loss is caused by friction. To have no parasitic loss, you need no friction at all. Zero friction means nothing at all is happening in the transmission. Pullies and belts still cause friction, and there's still axles and etc. There is also something close to a manual CVT; more of a...

Your opinion on a wing for my buddy's Supra

Hardly. The best exhaust for a turbo car is no exhaust. Running a 3.5"-4" exhaust on stock turbos or huge single is still the best bet. On motor, of course not. In Supra modification world, there's something called Basic Performance Upgrades (BPU). It involves intake, exhaust, fuel, management...

Your opinion on a wing for my buddy's Supra

Car made 1000hp on the stock engine (block, rods, crank, pistons, head). Supras just don't look right without a wing. Looks like a bar of soap.

    Hood pins are your friend...

Mine went into the roof and smashed the windshield. Shame too, since the hood was a week old and freshly painted.

    Tornado air?

Filters like the K&N aren't put in due to cost. Paper filters are so cheap to manufacture vs. the cotton? K&Ns. The reason why you don't see CAIs is due to air intake noise. The tornado is a joke. I love the 2L coke bottles example, wherein the fluid is fighting to go the bottom, and the air...

    REALLY nice Cobra gauges

I don't like them, and the company whose website they're on is going to get sued soon. These gauges look like the cheapie gauges. I wouldn't trust their accuracy as versus those of Autometer, etc. You're not buying a retrofit for your gauges, you're buying overlays for ricer gauges.
