    Cam Timing Question

Hey Strype, don't worry. I think you are still good. Engine and heads should be fine. 67coupe is right on. Follow his instructions and the engine should be initially at the right timing point. Sounds like you have a major fuel leak though. And you may have to change your oil again. At least...

    Cheap Rack-in-pinion conversion

I was helping a friend change his pads and rotors on his wife's 2004 Dodge Durrango and noticed that it's got rear steer spindles with rack and pinon steering. I wonder if it might help get around the problem us 71 to 73 mustang owners have with putting a rack into our cars.

    Hydraulic clutch cnc master cylinder

Sounds like you're using the same master slave combo that I have in my stang. Leverage is likely the answer. My pedal is fairly easy to depress, but it took me a while to find the best pivot point to get the pedal throw and effort close. I had to compromise a bit. Using on of those aftermarket...

    Tremec 3550 Can't Find shift into 1st and 2nd

Update: I made it worse. I got a new bushing from the Ford house and plopped it into the socket on my transmission. Then I thought I could get more throw if I added washers below the springs on either side of shifter arm. WRONG!!!!!! It didn't help me reach 1st and 2nd and now I can't even...

    1966 T5 Vibration Issue

I had an issue with my pinion angle too. I cleared up a bit of the anoying vibration by putting the appropratly angled shims under my rear end. Posted via Mobile Device

Looks nice. I don't think rust there is an issue yet. I don't remember seeing any there any how.

    Convertible Structural Integrity

My old 73 Mustang has seen a lot of miles since I got her. While watching my mirrors shake, I got to thinking about the condition of my stang's overall chassis. How many miles is my mustang convertible good for? How far can we go on our unibody cars before the integrity of the structure...

    Tremec 3550 Can't Find shift into 1st and 2nd

The clutch disengagement feels good. When I can get the tranny to find the 1st/2nd gate the clutch engages and disengages those gears smooth and easily. The other thing is when I try to push the tranny a little harder into 1st or 2nd I can feel the shifter slip off the notch between the...

    Tremec 3550 Can't Find shift into 1st and 2nd

I changed my clutch last week and was rewarded with smooth firm, solid shifts into all gears without a hint of driveline vibration. Unfortunately, after a couple 100 miles with the new clutch I'm having a problem getting my transmission to shift into 1st and 2nd. It's like I can't reach...

Just drove a 2010 GT... WANT!!

Yeah I don't like the rear of the car. Too bad you couldn't swap the rear bumper and tail lights for the 05-09 model. I do really like the look of the interior. I wonder if I could find a wrecked one to still the dash and center console from for my 73.

Found My Vibration, It Was The Clutch!!

In the end my vibration started 3500 and went up to 5000 getting heavier the higher you went in RPM. I think it was lower and lighter before that and between 3000 and 4000. That clutch liked to slip in third and fourth gears which I thought was weird you would think it would slip in the lower...

    Tremec 3550

I've got a 3550 in my 73 mustang an do have an issue with the angles. There is more room for the larger transmission in my tunnel, but the top of the transmission is basically resting on it. I need to lower my engine to get the angle right since I can't raise the transmission anymore. I would...

Found My Vibration, It Was The Clutch!!

I installed a new clutch yesterday. I took out the cheap one I bought at Oriley (140) and put in a Ram muscle car clutch. It's supposed to have greater holding power than the old one. I'm happy to say it seems I've finally gotten rid of the vibration in my drivetrain. I only did a preliminary...
