    use hood pins. its cheap insurance for an expensive hood. as long as you dont hit it with anything or slam the hood really hard you shouldnt have a problem with cracking at all.

    make sure the cable isnt too close to the header. ditch the adjustable cable also. get an oem cable from maximum motorsports or somewhere else. the reason you have a firewall adjuster is so you dont have to use an adjustable cable ps. adjustable cables are crap

    yeah, if there was slack in the cable (even if you had enough that the throwout bearing could come completely off the pressure plate) and there was enough movement to actually release the clutch from the pressure plate the clutch would grab right at the floor as soon as you let off the pedal...

    youre rattling clutch pedal might be due to a warped flywheel. mine is doing that too but only at high rpms. it just needs to be turned, but as far as the high engagement goes, adjust it so you have about an inch to 1 1/2 inches at the top, no total slop in the pedal but not totally tight. it...

    same thing happened to my buddies car and we switched solenoids to see if that was the problem and it wasnt. took the starter to advance to check it and it tested fine. well we bought another one and put it on and hes never had the problem again.

    check out auto-rx... www.auto-rx.com that stuff definetly works, ive used it in my old motor and had to change the filter half way through the rinse phase because it filled up with sludge. definetly worth it imho

    looks good man, i wish i could have found a motor out of an explorer like 4 months ago when i started building mine. oh well i got a block for free and than spent about 900 on everything else to freshen it up and get the heads done.

    1st and 3rd gear issues

    the only thing i can think of would be shifter stops not adjusted properly and the shifter isnt goint in all the way. if its a stock shifter than make sure the shifter is bolted down properly to the tranny

    why would the ground strap look like that if it was loose? make sure those are the right plugs for those heads.

    you can always send the lower to tmoss and he can port it for i think around 100 bucks....but im not positive on that (just what everyone else has said it costs). a set of thumpers will work great with a tmoss ported lower and stock upper. if you can get a set of gt40 heads than they will work...

    C4 Question.. PLEASE HELP!!!

    first thing you need to do is take those wheels off, take the c4 out and send them both to me immediately. something is definetly broken in the tranny. check all the linkage and make sure its all intake. pull the pan and check the filter for burned up band material

    getting a t5 rebuilt isnt worth it if you ask me. unless you get every upgrade you possibly can to make it stronger. but than you might as well buy one that is already stronger and brand new. thats why i bought my tko 500. but now im trying to sell it to get a c4
