    Kevin Tetz LPGT update

I've been working on the 66 Coupe trying to get it to the point where it'll be ready for paint by spring.... may be ambitious with my current "free time" schedule but we have to set goals, right? So far the engine (4.6 Terminator/t-56) is in and fitting with the fiberglass Shelby hood. The...

    help with qtr extensions

your issue is not the extensions, but the stamping of the quarters. You're correct in saying it's more difficult to modify the extensions; the pot metal that they're made from is very difficult to weld/build up... you're better of reworking the mating surface on the quarter itself. I know this...

66 Coupe 4.6 DOHC Build update

Very nice! Congratulations on a very well done car. Your panel alignment looks great, and that doesn't happen by accident.. ( right?) I like the fact that you're staying true to the original GT ques- IE exhaust location, fog lights etc... nice touch on the 4.6 emblems as well. Once question...

    2006 seats in a 66?

Cool! Thanks for the info. That's kind of what I was thinking, but you've made it pretty clear. I'll end up using the 06 seat tracks, but modifying the mounting points to suit my installation. On the seat risers I hada great view of the top of the windshield frame... and thats even with an...

    2006 seats in a 66?

has anybody done this? I'm planning on it and have devised a plan, but the seat risers have to go completely away. I was thinking about reinforcing the floors with 1/8 flat along the seat runners and tying that into tunnel and rockers somehow. Any suggestions? Just looking for other...

I've just witnessed a great car!

I had the chance to catch up with Brian Finch of Mt Juliette TN and his '67 cobra powered coupe. He did every stitch of the work and left no stone unturned, outstanding! Great paint, air ride suspension, 2003 Cobra drivetrane, shaved door handles, LED tail lamps... the car drives ad good as...

Who's running a roll bar or cage?

Hey Guys, who's using or planning to use a rollbar or cage for their street or track car? I'm just curious if most people are bending their own or if there's a kit out there for early mustangs. I still want to keep a back seat, but I want to have at least a hoop with a couple of down bars...

    Mustang II Suspension question

I had this same internal debate, and read tons of reviews and some of the incredibly well though out and explained viewpoints on this site as well as my own experience and settled on this option. MuscleUp Performance and Rod Shop This is the same system Jeff Schwartz is marketing with...

    Finally started my project!

I sent them my axel housing to weld the links while in the jig.... had the front suspension up to the hubs installed, brake lines run, steering rack in, sway bars installed, and a boat load of heim hoints.... the good thing is that you can order any stage of completion with all the components...

    Finally started my project!

The rear body locates and attaches out back with the front leaf spring Eye-bolts, and in front you have to trim the torque boxes/frame rail extensions that run under the unibody flush to the floor pan. From there there are two saddle brackets on each rail that get welded to the toe board and...

    Finally started my project!

It's been a long time coming but I'm finally working on my 66 Coupe. I'll try and figure out how to post photos soon, but I'm using a "Muscleup Performance" Chassis with a 4.6 Cobra drivetrane. Lotsa work to do but making progress. Gotta figure out EFI fuel delivery, but I've got a couple of...

    EFI fuel system questions...

I've searched alot on this an other forums and I'm surprised that there are not more options out there for a return line fuel tank for our classic cars.... I'm doing a 4.6 supercharged engine swap and really really wanted to find a drop in tank that didnt cost $2000.00 and then still vent into...

question for those who have replaced/re-skinned 1/4 panels(with pics)

I like the panel separating knife because it forces me to take my time.... rather than using an impact cutter with a chisel bit, which is VERY destructive! IF I cant easily hammer the back edge of the separator knife and break the panels apart, I've either missed a spot weld ( which are placed...

question for those who have replaced/re-skinned 1/4 panels(with pics)

You're better off in the long run with a full quarter..... the style lines and general fit will be better and it is ctually easier, but takes a little more preparation removing the panel. The "Easier " part of the full quarter is that you utilize the factory spot weld locations to reattach it...

    68 289 turbo or supercharge ?

THe question of " why not just build a 4oo HP V8 and not bother with the turbo or supercharger" will be answered if you ever drive a forced induction car or truck. Ther's something primal about the feeling of a turbo kicking in or the constant increace in torque through the powerband with a...
