    MSD 6AL-2 mounting: Is it ok to mount the box in the trunk?

    Also, is there anything I should be aware of if mounted in the trunk other than increasing wire size. And can I mount the box upside down on the factory amp/speaker box in the trunk or is it a must to mount it right side up? Thanks

    Yeah, I agree. I would not even consider putting any time into that block other than taking it out and stripping it down. Also, the distributor gears is turned by the cam and I guess if there's abnormal amounts of movement it can, I guess, maybe force the distributor at an odd angle and...

    Not sure but it doesn't sound right. If you did damage them that would not be good especially since, from my understanding, Ford no longer sells those lines but here's a post that talks about our fuel lines and what some have done to replace them...

    Me too (MAC). Welcome to the game.:nice: I have to remove the CAI from the TB to remove the oil cap but I have a 3/8" intake spacer which sets it just above the oil cap.

    Sounds like you plan to reuse the existing(stock) axle bushing. At the minimum, please inspect them for cracks and tears. Again, I suggest you remove them and install a set of new Ford bushings so that you do not have to deal with them again for awhile. By hardware, I think Summit is talking...

    It's been a minute since I reported. I followed Jrichker's diagnostics steps and decided to try another distributor (still under warranty) but the problem still exist.:shrug: I haven't had the time to really put more time into the car but I plan to check out the ground wires next. What'ya think?

    Just in case you didn't know. The bushings for the Ford UCR are sold separately. Also consider getting MM control arm bushing removal tool - worth its weight in gold.
