    Cyl 8 Misfire WHAT NOW?

If the light is blinking, you should stop driving the car until the problem is fixed. Blinking SES is a bad thing. A steady SES is not as serious.

How to Make Fogs work with low and hi beams on newer Stangs

Daytime running lights and driving lights and fog lights are all technically different things even if the light illuminates from the same bulb. Why give a cop an excuse to pull you over? You can't use high beams and driving lights/fog lights at the same time and be legal. Just like you...

    Post 1/4 mi. times!!

I ran 14.3 @ 99 with my heavy vert with mods below. I am at 970 feet and it was 85 degrees at 94% humidity. That equates to a 13.8 @ 102 compensated for those conditions. To run fast you must do the following: 1 - Drive your car like you hate it! 2 - Loose some weight...as much as you...

    Cyl 8 Misfire WHAT NOW?

A misfire can be caused by running too lean also. I had same problem last spring in two cylinders. Is the SES light flashing?

BTW, it is against the law t have fog lights on with high beams, so watch the tickets.

    Track MPH

You 60 foot's are pretty good for a stock auto. If you say you are getting some spin, I believe ya. If you did not get ANY spin, your 60 foot times would probably get a little worse and then loose a little trap speed. This would put you in the wrong direction. Are you taking your passenger...

    Track MPH

This is a GREAT question. Trap speed depends opn many factors, not the least of which is climate and altitude. If you get more tire spin on launch, your trap will be at a higher rpm and thus speed all other things being equal. I saw a Z-28 run a 14.4 last week and trap at 112 mph. That...

Is 400rwhp possible without a power adder?

400 hp at the flywheel would be pretty simple NA. Throw on all the normal bolt-ons (will get you about 310 - 320, right?), then heads and stage 2 cams should push you to 400 (fly wheel only).

My G-Tech Pro says 12.97...is it right?

They suck! Don't waste your money. I have used mine at the track and it is never close. It has been off by more than an entire second. For those that commented on driver+car weight. Sorry, but you don't understand how they are suppossed to work. You could put 5 lbs for weight and it...

Mods to a leased car..? yes no.. what?

Don't mod a leased car. BUT, one way around the dreaded turn in at the end of the lease, is to trade it in before the lease is up. I just did not know anyone was leasing anymore especially american cars. Was the lease actually a better deal than buying? Let the truth be known though...

    70mm or 75mm

Depends on the plenum you go with. Use 75 with a C&L plenum, for example. Either way, though, there will not be much of a difference in hp.

    nitrous question

There are two common ways to damage a motor from nitrous: 1 - Backfire! Fuel pools in the intake and then BANG, you blow the intake up. This is avoidable with the right safety features. 2 - You burn up a piston. This is caused from adding too much nitrous and not enough fuel. Again...

my car is in very very bad shape,

Phew, what a mess. Couple of questions: Was the chip installed when it went in for service? or, are they saying that it was once there? Was the motor damage the result of an accident, or simply found by "misstake" when the car was taken in to fix. Seems like if it was hit, that could...

    nitrous questions... little confused.

Here are my thoughts. First, though you CAN use a dry kit on a stang: DRY N02: Pros - Avoids pooling of fuel and potential backfire. Lots of interesting technology. Some systems will read your 02 sensors for A/F and adjust accordingly and others can determine exactly how much nitrous you...

Help with stopping an exhaust leak

I have been having problems with a leak ever since I added an X-Pipe. It is happening on the passenger side where to header connects to the mid pipe. I fix it, it works for a while and then comes back. Is there some type of wrap or sealant that on can put around this connection?
