    I think they're just getting old enough now that a significant number have saggy butt syndrome. Some probably have original 20 year old springs. Doesn't help any that the GT ground effects are prone to sagging as well, which makes the car look really old & tired.

    Ya think they're really being all that unfair? As I remember, in that GT500 video they made comments on the Roush and had nothing but good things to say about it. A really good Top Gear episode is the one where they test the supercharged Ariel Atom. What a ridiculously cool toy.

    Every chance I get. I agree the horsepower comment on the GT500 was disingenuous, but other than that they were right to blast it. With a price tag of $41K (assuming you could buy it for that) it seems lacking.

    I sold my '95 GT for more than $5000, and it was far from flawless. So yeah, I think $5K on a '96 Cobra is a good enough deal. The only caveat is that a 32V modular is not cheap to fix if anything is wrong with it, so make sure it's solid.

    Mmmm, I love driving in snow! But not in a Mustang, unless it was my only car and I had really great snow tires and preferably chains. It's just not a great setup for that kind of situation at all. Fortunately we get so little snow (in the valleys at least)...

    Hmmm. Thanks for that. We were seeing a little bit lower, but maybe within normal. Just trying to figure out why this car still occasionally surges even with a J4J1 tune. It runs about as well on the stock tune as my '95 did with the FTI cam... which is to say, not at all, without liberal...

    I'm just looking for a ballpark number. I expect stock is ~20 or so. The setup in question is a TFS twisted wedge kit on a very low mileage stock bottom end with steeda #19 cam (instead of the stage 1 cam that comes with the TFS kit). I think 13-14 inHg is on the low side, I'd like to verify...

    Indeed. I've always been impressed with how well a 2V modular takes to boost. I've always been extremely disappointed by how poorly a bone stock 5.0 GT does.

    I almost said that in my post just to head off your completely pointless and totally predictable argument. The thread was about a GT, not a Cobra. Go slap some E7's and a stock GT intake on your Cobra and then see what you get at 6 psi.
