Whatcha getting for idle vacuum?
I've got a friend with a stock 5.0 (recently built), 95 GT, trickflow package with the TFS cam swapped out for a Steeda 19 (original intent was no tuning). I'm seeing about 14 inches of vacuum at idle, which to my mind seems pretty low -- that's only about 1.5 or 2 inches higher than I was getting with my FTI custom cam, and it was quite a lot meatier than the steeda 19 is.
So tell me what you're seeing. I was expecting at least 17 or so (IIRC stock HO cam should be ~21-22). Sure would explain why it won't idle worth a crap on the stock tune. I've got it running a very slightly modified J4J1 for the moment, but it's still acting a little silly. Kinda like it has a big vacuum leak (haven't found one yet, though).
Thanks,
Dave
