West Coast Members of the Old School, check in!

Thanks Scott! Still have the 65 I would imagine? Still have the foxbody GT as well? I'm looking to buy a pretty nice sized house here soon, I think I know what I will have to do to break the house in. Mustang Gathering!

    Some PICS Today/ Drive Away!

Car looks good, makes my miss my 98 Pacific Green. I don't know what it was, but as slow as those year v6's are (stock/mildly stock) and don't think any V8 car I've had will be as fun as that car was. I don't miss the V6 exhaust though, but your setup is about the best you can do to make it...

West Coast Members of the Old School, check in!

Ok, you know it's sad when you decide to only check this post for a week, and then decide to look around to find 111 replies. Hey guys! Again..... SO I decided to give up on the mustangs and get a Bentley. Although this Bentley is about 9 days old, poops, peas and cries when he is unhappy. I...

West Coast Members of the Old School, check in!

Eventhough I will always love mustangs and still have them, I've been turned off by the community lately and have just been my own. At one time it was enjoyable, and fun to be involved with things, but those day have come and gone. For those that remember me, my life has changed alot. I'm...

    Mustang Insurance Thread

159 a month/27 years old/Full coverage and a 200 deduc and single with The Hartford insurance. However for almost identical coverage Progressive was 98 dollars a month about 110 with my Mitsubishi as the DD. With that said I will be changing insurance.

    Opinions needed on wheel color!!!

Honestly, I think a small amount of color coordination can look good, but it can get real over the top. I have the same wheels on my torch red and honestly black looks amazing on red and on a mustang chrome just looks too much. I'd just say either keep your rims or buy some different ones.

    Billet grille. Uh oh.

The grill would look good on some colors and styles, I personally wanted the black accents on a torch red car so I took the Mach 1 delete personally. I think everyone should have the mach 1 or Cobra delete kit, and that being a alternative.

Any Northerners going to pony trails?

I would like to cruise down with some peeps, so hopefully there might be some others as well. Mike when do you expect to roll past Marysville? I will see if the timing will work. It might be hard to have a gf and a 6 year old up and ready at a specific time. On another note, I noticed you...

How bad is it to "engine brake" with a manual tranny?

Everyone should rev match or just put it in Neutral and use your brakes. Rev matching isn't all that hard once you get the idea. I used to use the engine to slow me down but I found out that it's harder on your clutch. Plus you will save some gas (especially prices these days), and I much rather...

Any Northerners going to pony trails?

Just wondering if anyone north of Everett is going to the cruise and if you guys wanted to cruise down to BCC. Let me know, we can plan something. -Curt

    Catted Midpipe VS. Offroad Midpipe

I think in your case, yes you should get a catted pipe. The X will be alittle more loud over the H. For 250 though I'd do it, if you want the cops not to bother you. I used to be worried about that, but after hearing so many freaking loud harley's riding around I think it's ok. Plus, a cop can't...

Anybody have or had Progressive Insurance?

Cool....the only thing that I'm nervous about is how easy are they to work with, and will they try to cut corners if my car needs repaired.

    Catted Midpipe VS. Offroad Midpipe

Performance wise, close enough........sound is more noticeable. It's more so about the price to what you get. Sometimes high hp cars need some backpressure hence need some cats. It just depends, like I said most people get O/R pipes because you can get some for 100-200 dollars compared to...

    Catted Midpipe VS. Offroad Midpipe

I wouldn't say that a high flow catted pipe doesn't make it louder, listen to some clips on youtube and you can tell that they are respectfully loud. Sometimes an O/R pipe can make an exhaust TOO loud and sound horrible sometimes...mostly with a straight through muffler. I think chambered...

    Catted Midpipe VS. Offroad Midpipe

Alot of people get an O/R pipe because it's about half the price of a catted. Basically if you don't want your car to be rather loud go for a catted, power gains are different but minimal.

Anybody have or had Progressive Insurance?

I've been looking at insurance and progressive for basically identical insurance is about 70 dollars less a month for me then what I currently have. I've checked other insurance companies and they don't want much different then I pay currently and I'm absolutely happy with my insurance company...

Suggestions on suspension for the stang

Ryan, I'm looking into picking up some Steeda Sport Springs probably sometime this month. Hopefully if Tyler or some other willing chap wants to help me install them it would be nice. As for the caster/camber plates they aren't a dire need as long as the drop doesn't go lower then 1.5" so...

Steeda sport springs, should I get CC's?

Honestly, if they are able to align it properly then i don't see there being a big problem. The stock suspension held my stock goodyears fine for along time. I'll probably get some down the road if I see problems. But thanks for your advice.
