    So it sounds like theres no obvious choice between the two? Im sort of leaning towards the sony. Only thing is the ported box is so huge, but it should provide more bass than the sealed one.. so oh well

    There is a chunk of porcelin out of the bad plug Im running the stock intake, the engine itself is stock, 110k kilometers (68,000 miles) I am using the stock crankcase ventilation, recently replaced the PCV valve, it looked clean and appeared to be working but I changed it anyways...

    Thats a good idea, a leakdown test was going to be our next approach, but I was just looking to see if these findings can point me in a direction (for example.. one plug is fouled, compression test is fine, car has low miles.. therefore must be something in the heads)

    Yea.. used merchandise isnt as good as buying new, but Im not in the position to buy new.. do you think this equipment is a bad deal at a mere $100? ok let me rephrase.. if you had $100 to spend on a used subwoofer setup, which of the above two would you prefer?

    As some of you know, ive been having oil consumption issues with my 5.0, its been eating a litre every 500 kilometers. The car runs great and doesnt smoke on startup, revs or driving, so I was stumped as to where the oil was going. At a cruise awhile ago we were running at 160 kph on the highway...

    My head unit has subwoofer control, maybe this would solve the problem you're talking about? :shrug: With my head unit, I can set treble, bass, balance, fader and subwoofer (the setting currently does nothing because I do not have one attached)
