    headers loose alot of torque?

Ok, but wouldn't ceramic coated shorties lower underhood heat better than the OEM's? The tubing looks as if it flows better the stock. I would love to see a few dyno sheets to confirm/deny the loss in power on a stock 5.0L. Interesting info on their HP efficency though. I don't see anything...

    Differental oil?

I use Amsoil 75W90. Its $7.90 Sythetic Gear Oil and has the friction modifier in it. 4 oz friction modifier would be a good idea in non-synthetic gear oil. A little less than 3 bottles will be needed for the gear oil change.

    134A conversion kit

I have the article on the Hose Wizard kit. Been thinking about it for ny rebuild. Need to check the prices on the items in the kit to see how they compare to AutoParts store pricing. But it seems like a quality kit and the cooler results vs R12 are a plus. A/C is just expensive I guess. But its...

    Header leak? BBK eq. shorty

Not really, most sets don't come with copper gaskets or ARP /STG 8 quality hardware. I only want to do this once, as the engine will be going back in the car soon.

    Seafoam Directions

Seafoam Works! This stuff has been around for years. Its very good in the oil, throttlebody, or a vacuum source to get into the intake and upper cylinders. You will get a lot of smoke, especially if you use the whole can. I only use a 1/4 can for each application. My favorite reason for using...

    Header leak? BBK eq. shorty

Which one: copper or other material which gasket type along with Stage 8 locking bolts will give you the most wear? I don't want to constantly change the header gaskets. Are the Mr Gasket 7160 the best one for 1 5/8 BBK Ceramic coated unequal shorties? I got a set to put on before dropping...

    engine revs up

Check the accelerator cable linkage directly underneath EGR spacer. I have the same problem. I noticed that I am missing the clip ( ford part #9D726) that holds the other cable( ford part #9A825) in place. My engine never raced prior to losing that clip. Any other ideas?

    A few 5.0L questions

Thanks for the info on the mounts. I'll look in to the cv ones. I already have the BBK unequal shorties, so the stock ones won't go back on. The heads were rebuilt and will have FRPP 1.6 rollers. I was wondering if the ceramic headers will become damaged by using them on a freshly rebuilt...

    A few 5.0L questions

I am in the process of rebuilding my 88 LX HB. The motor is done and only needs to be assembled. Its a speed density car that I have owned since it was new. Had 197,201 miles on the original engine. I can't decide on which motor mounts to get, the Prothane or Energy Suspensions. I have been...
