What is a fair price for this 92 NOTCH

'92 Forged piston engine with just a tick over 100K, I'd say if you got it for 5G you did well. The problem with Foxes is that there's always someone on the internet bragging how they just scored a mint 60K car, one owner, clean carfax for 3200, because they failed to leave out that their...

    Need Opinions

Here's what I'm thinking. Upgrade suspension in your car to tighten her back up. Fix your leaks. Save up some coin for when the new 5.0's start ending up in the bone yards. Install new 5.0 under the hood...400+ hp and with the driveabilty a Focus. Realistically, an uncorked 5.0 would...

For those of you in the snow belt, what's your winter beater? *PICS*

I drive mine all year round. Best winter car I've ever had and I've even owned 4x4 trucks.

The stang may have to go...

    1) Dump Explorer. 2) Find 6 cyl 'Stang rims and throw on Blizzaks (all four corners) 3) Mount to car for winter 4) 150lbs in the trunk 5) cost of tires and rims covered by sale of Explorer The only thing stopping you from saving money is you. I love driving my 04GT in the...

School me on heads and drivability

A stock cam with 1.7's would work if your're that hesitant. The stock stick is a great torque stick.

    slow90coupe's NOTCH BUILD THREAD!!!

Great work! If she's been whacked hard, make sure the thrust angle is still where it needs to be.

What would you guys do? (Considering buying another Stang, long read)

Can anyone on here shed some light on the tick of death for the 32V mills? I understand it was some earlier '03's or something that were affected but supposedly it was all corrected by '04???

LB0193...he's on here, maybe he can tell you why he want's another Fox so bad for himself. I told him that he has a beautiful car and that he should keep it, but again, that's my opinion. And besides, we all know that your SVT equipped cars pawn even the strength of a black hole...

    Edelebrock performer heads

Great price...have a shop go through and check all the valve to seat contacts and add better valve stem seals. Then you will be golden. I run the basic Edels on my set up. The performer intake will outflow the Explorer, but the explorer is a lot cheaper. Make sure you perform the...

What would you guys do? (Considering buying another Stang, long read)

I've reread all of your posts in this thread and you have been bitten by the Fox bug... Draft up your project list, as you work and pay for things with cash, have it all set aside and waiting to be dropped in, so when and if work slows down, you'll have enough at home to keep you busy for...

So both of your rides are running low 9's on the street?

What do you like more the '91 or the WRX? WRX = winter goodness, but how much snow do you see down there; any at all? I'm sort of thinking for you to sell one of the DD's off and get the Mach. Even if you don't technically have to sell one of the DD's off, it would most likely be best...

I like the continuation of body color under the hood as well. She looks to be rediculously clean!:nice: The remote air filter is a nice set up.

Don't get me wrong, I like coupes as well as a lot of other people, but your '77, if it is in fact the one in your avatar, looks mighty fine. Personally, I'd hang onto the King, because you see even less of those on the road than you do Fox coupes. You could always do something to yours like...

Trick Flow offers a fine product...the key is to stick with a proven package. If your car runs ok for now, start upgrading the upper and lower arms in the rear, get the poly bushings for the ears on the 8.8 and some new spring isolators while you are at it. Next pre investment would be a...

Is finding a stock car that hard to do?

Yes and no. If your car had only 23K on it, I would label it as a survivor and say don't touch a thing. @ 230K, build it how you want it. A lot of guys enjoy the Notches though because of the absence of add ons...ground effects, spoilers...a simplistic clean look if you will.

Nothing wrong with a 347. Smaller runners will help with better economy though. If you are thinking turbo, those guys are making some serious torque with stock everything. Pretty much the same torque I'm making and a little less hp, but talk about a wicked street combo. Turbos or any...

Best part about it is that its old, old technology. I built the car ten years ago and added a blower 5 years ago. 300hp Edel package...heads, cam (e), intake, 70mm T-bod and EGR with the motorsport 1.72 RR's. Car ran 12.501 @ 109 with just the edel package .1771 60ft. the 2.95 first gear...

If you're going the bullitt route, be sure to do a proper 5-lug conversion...SN95 set up. I've heard rumors that the bullitts are being over played on Foxes already. It's why I stuck with the Ponies. 221K on the block...get a whole new set up. Even if you have to do a LRS cheap reman and...
