    auto tranny ...... cooler ? since i am putting in the new tranny today !....any of you guys with the al4ds put on a aftermarket tranny cooler ? i think my radiator was leaking in the cooler somewhere just a lil bit so now i am lookin for a large cooler

    i saw a kit online that uses a nitous botttle or co2 to cool down the intercooler has anyone every actually seen one used ? or have any thought on the wether the idea may pay off ? i have co2 at work so i could refill this thing for free i suppose

    lol yes i did read it ! ....... LOL asking if there was no other benefit, trying to keep boost level where it is at for the moment ..... putting too much damn stress on my al4d the way it is

    yup yeah i have a 88tc motor well i'm running around 13 psi now.... 10 degree timing. so basically is there no benefit of running the high octane fuel ? :flag:

    how much of a difference do you guys notice on the type of gas you run ? i was thinking of going and filling up w/ some turbo blue race fuel before i go to the track tonight ?

    no i got a stall converter out of jegs for the c-4 ........................... i got a buddy who works at aammco so i got the hookup.... workin the valvebody a lil bit and adding some clutch packs for a lil extra kick this thing screams like a raped ape now :banana:

    ok i started this up and man its a lot different tone without the cat and that lil 6 inches of pipe .....you can really hear the turbo spool....... can you hear the turbo better threw the exhaust w/ out the cat ?

    ohh thats easy i work ata a exhaust shop so i can just say i am taking it there right away officer funny thing is a guy who works with me has a firebird w/ a sticker that says "Cops can never catch me" does anyone have a favorite over large single exhaust 3.5" or the dual setup ?

    ok i have a 88tc motor in my new coupe.... i swapped in a beefed up c-4 , when i did the swap i had to cut the catalytic converter off......... i am gonna replace the downpipe and all with 3" single exit i think... anyway my question is.....is it safe to drive it about 10 miles to my work...

    thats not good best thing i can tell you to do is try to turn the crank by hand and see if it will turn..... if not that motor is now a large boat anchor ! :banana:

    trans leak

    i got a leak in the front of the trans ona al4d ! leaks out from the front ....drips out from where the hole is in the bellhousing anyone have any ideas ? i was thinking maybe the front seal.... i hit 15 psi last night and i get back and my tranny is leaking

    c i think ya need to get a fuel pressure tester and see just how much fuel pressure its getting ? you should be able to rent one at autozone ! also when you pulled the plug what did it look like ? wet ? burnt ?

    well only way to get much power out of the N/A 2.3 is some head milling and porting or gutting the intakes..... which would still be more expensive than the swap... i found my motor for 200 bucks basically anything you would do to a v8 you can do to a 4cyl car too..... mill work,rocker...
