question for all you 2.3 guru's

ok i have a 88tc motor in my new coupe.... i swapped in a beefed up c-4 , when i did the swap i had to cut the catalytic converter off......... i am gonna replace the downpipe and all with 3" single exit i think...


anyway my question is.....is it safe to drive it about 10 miles to my work to put on all the exhaust or ? the downpipe goes down to the bottom of the exhaust ? ....... i just wanna make sure i dont hurt the turbo..

funny thing is a guy who works with me has a firebird w/ a sticker that says

"Cops can never catch me"


does anyone have a favorite over large single exhaust 3.5" or the dual setup ?

i started this up and man its a lot different tone without the cat and that lil 6 inches of pipe .....you can really hear the turbo spool.......

can you hear the turbo better threw the exhaust w/ out the cat ?

yes! you can hear it alot better, I have a turbo muffler of some sort and a gutted cat and I can hear the turbo at the end of it. makes a nice whirle noise.

no i got a stall converter out of jegs for the c-4

...........................

i got a buddy who works at aammco so i got the hookup....
workin the valvebody a lil bit and adding some clutch packs for a lil extra kick


this thing screams like a raped ape now
