Please! Need Help With My 306 setup 500+ H.P

Awsome, thats what I needed to know. I have been looking at one of those scoops as a stealthier option than a cowl hood. I am swapping 86 body panels onto my 92 and I wasnt it to appear stockish. Don't have any pics of your intake/air cleaner setup and or the underside of your hood do you? I...

Please! Need Help With My 306 setup 500+ H.P

Totally off the subject.... I watced the video and see that you have one of the 82ish style scoops. I have the same intake as you and I dave discovered that even without the 1" spacer installed, it wont clear a flat hood. I'm running one of those 13" ford motor sport air cleaners that is...

    over carburated??/

I would say it is overcarburated with a 750 but that isnt your problem here. I would start with the basics and check to make sure there is no debris in the needle valves and make sure they are adjusted right. You are running a decent fuel filter right? If not, get one. Any little piece of...

    I want 250HP+ from a carbed 302.....

Well your basic 87+ 5.0 is rated at 225 but with any miles, I dont think most actually put that out. I would think that if you used one of the roller block 5.0's with a good dual plane intake, 600cfm carb, aftermarket headers, free flowing cat pipe or off road pipe and decent cat back would...

    Rusted Sunroof

WOW! Thats bad. Probably not the answer you want to hear but with rot that bad, I would say try to find a junk sunroof car and cut out that section and graft it onto yours. Ive never seen one rust like that there. Has it been bondo'd there before or something? Kinda looks like it.

    AC/SMOG Pulleys

I say that the eliminator pullys are a needless accessory unless you have a blower or something where you would absolutely have to have the belt in a certain configuration. Just get a shorter belt if your just removing the smog pump and you will be fine. If your doing A/C as well, use the FMS...

bypass fuel regulator for carb. swap?

I don't think he was lecturing you, he was offering good advice. If you want to be an ass about it though, I would say figure it out yourself and let us know how it turns out. Food for thought...... Maybe if alot of poeple that have done something tell you its a bad idea, it probably...

    what carb????

Edelbrock carbs are good if you want an carb that will run decent out of the box in alot of applications. The Holley or Holley clone variants are WAY more tunable but it seems that you constantly have to fiddle with them to keep em running good. They never seem to be close out of the box but...

    17x9 or 17x8

I have 17x8's with 255/40x17's on front and 9's in back. They fit nicer than the ones I have seen with 9's in the front. Most stick out and look kinda goofy in my opinion. Never had any rubbing what so ever. Car has Eibach pro-kit springs.

    86 wire harness in a 92?

Do you mean the complete engine part of the harness or the dash and rear part of the harness too? In the 86, arent there just like 2 small connectors plus the big ECM connector there in the kick panel that ties it into the rest of the car? Painless harness is out of the question and I dont...

    86 wire harness in a 92?

I have a 92lx that was an original 4cyl car but is now a carbed V8. I would like to convert it to EFI using the engine harness out of an 86GT. Is this possible? And Im not worried about airbags or anything because that stuff is all gone already anyway. If I could use it, how would I tie it...

2.3 TO 302 carbed swap HELP!!!!

One thing I figured out real quick is that all that little nickle and dime **** you dont really think too much about like accessory brackets and stuff will blow the budget fast. I would try to get a complete motor with all accessories on it and go from there rather than building up from a...

    5 lug conv. on 84?

I've done it and it works fine if your not trying to upgrade braking performance but want to run 5lug wheels. You can reuse the bearings in the Mustang rotors but the rear seal and dustcap are different so you need to use Ranger ones. I also found that the "hat" part of the ranger rotor is...

Anybody looking for a 2.3T project?

I've decided to sell my 92 notch and turbo stuff as a package deal. The car is a stock 2.3 5-speed that just hit 100k the other day. It has pretty new FMS "C" springs, GT front and rear sway bars and new shocks & struts. The gray and black interior is damn near as perfect as I have ever seen...

    Camshaft Identification

I have several "alphabet" cams and they all had E303 or B303 or whatever stamped right into the back of the cam. The cranes I have used also had 2020 or 2030 stamped in the same spot. Yours kinda sounds like the what I have seen stamped on the stock cams. Do you know that its an aftermarket...

    Engine swaping. needing help

I have done a couple 2.3 to V8 conversions and I will try to help. BUT!...I will preface this by saying that if I had to do it over, I would probably go with a 2.3 turbo swap instead. Other than that I wont flame or try to talk you out of it. Tealtiger is right though, the 2.3 crowd can be...

    FMS C Springs

Cheaper...yes, but better would be a matter of opinion. I have Eibach pro-kit springs on my 90 5.0 hatch. They were an absolute bitch to install but they are the best springs in terms of performance without sacrificing ride comfort that I have ever used, hands down.
