I have a 92lx that was an original 4cyl car but is now a carbed V8. I would like to convert it to EFI using the engine harness out of an 86GT. Is this possible? And Im not worried about airbags or anything because that stuff is all gone already anyway. If I could use it, how would I tie it in to the 92's inside wiring?

i guess but you would have to remove 86 harness completely and install all of it into the 92 4 banger. or you could buy 1 of these http://www.painlessperformance.com/webcatalog.asp
once you got the 86 stuff in it you will have to install or get a mass airflow swap kit because you don't want to be a maps sensor computer controlled fuel injected car.
Do you mean the complete engine part of the harness or the dash and rear part of the harness too? In the 86, arent there just like 2 small connectors plus the big ECM connector there in the kick panel that ties it into the rest of the car? Painless harness is out of the question and I dont mind the SD. The story behind this is that I am taking the drivetrain out of the 92 hatch and installing it into my 92 notch. And since my 86 GT has some rot I dont exactly know how to address, I am going to turn the leftover 92 hatch into an 86GT by installing the nessecary 86 body parts and swapping the 86 EFI wiring so I can install a 306 I have that is set up with a later model EFI intake and whatnot. I dont plan on changing out the dash though so I was hoping maybe I could just use the front part of the harness. I seem to remember that in the later models, the air bag wiring is in the harness as well but in the 86 isnt the engine harness sort of stand alone or am I thinking of this totally wrong?

Theh 86 engine harness won't match the 92 dash harness, different plugs(behind the DS strut tower). You will need a 92 and, I think a 93 might work. Now it could be made to work solo, but the gauges won't work, and possibly have to wire something up for the fuel pump to work since, the dash harness and engine harness won't be connected.
