    Can these be bought at the parts store? My rack is the original and for some reason if I turn to full lock the tire rubs the A-arm. I have stock 225 60r 15s on factory turbines.

    I think any performance engine that see's hard driving should have a mechanical full sweep oil PSI gauge. It is the only way to really know whats going on with your engine.

    Yeah in my '87 you don't have to step on the brake to move the AOD shifter either. I think that started on later models.

    I'm old and stuff. I pulled the tint off my car when I got it LOL. I couldn't see crap at night. Some cars do look good with it and it does definently protect the interior. I just don't care for it on my vehicles.

    Many companies make performance valve bodies for the AOD. Lentech is pretty popular as is Art Carr. Also check out Click Click Racing the guy who runs that site builds perormance AODs and has alot of good info.

    I am no expert wait for more opinions. My tank is still vented, but the line is just open under tha car instead of being hooked to the charcoal canister. I would THINK the vented cap would serve the same purpose, but I am not sure.

    True , didn't think about that. You would have to get the whole thing at the scrapyard. I wouldn't think even that should be to expensive though.

    The charcoal canister is definently not mandatory, mine is laying in my storage shed. Some say without it you will have terrible fuel odors , but I have never noticed a difference.

    My '87 has 152K on the clock. I run 3 qts. 10W-40 and 2 qts. 20W-50 at the moment.

    Hmmm well I would love to hear some more replies from people here who know more than me about where that bracket that you have might have originated. I would think someone here on the forum probably has one of the brackets you need. I would wait a few hours for everyone to get home from work...

    Automatic to cobra?

    AOD (Automatic Over Drive) it is fords first OD transmission and was used in the fox body mustangs until 1993. Heat is it's number one enemy, taht's why I suggested getting a cooler for it.
