    03 cobras on a 92 gt....

i suppose if you replaced your control arms w/ quality aftermarket units, you could eliminate the quad shocks w/o any problem. Otherwise, most people reportedly have issues w/ wheel hop if they're running the stock suspension and no quad shocks.

    Drag Radials..prices?

Are you sure the MT ET Radials are wrinkle wall? The MT ET Radials are normal drag radials made by Mickey Thompson. The Wrinkle walls you speak off - I believe - are the MT ET Streets, which are not radials, but rather slicks w/ grooves in them to make them DOT legal.

Original '93 Cobra Engine parts. What are they worth if i buy them?

the original cobra parts probably won't be worth more than a comparable piece. What I'm saying is that the fact that they're original factory cobra parts won't mean much unless they're on the original factory cobra car, which is now wrecked. The heads are GT40's, so they're not even as good as...

GT40P Street Car @ the track

As I've probably mentioned before, that's a fairly similar setup to my 91 GT GT40P engine, so I wonder how close my times will be. I'm not used to the track yet, so we'll see. I plan to buy some ET streets soon:D

No washer on balancer bolt = bad news

you really think an arp is THAT much better than the Mr. Gasket at Autozone? Honestly, what I've thought about doing is going to lowes and getting a large diameter washer, drilling the hole to the proper size, grab a lock washer and use my current bolt. That would cost maybe $1-2 as opposed to...

No washer on balancer bolt = bad news

I think I may be the biggest moron alive. So I've shredded two belts on the GT in the past 9 months or so, but the car has only had about 500 miles put on it in that time because it was put up for winter. Anyway, after the engine rebuild last summer, I put the balancer back on, but somehow...

    powermaster one wire alt help

This is a tech question that normally would be better to ask in the Tech section, but I'll take care of you here:nice: You could probably use those stock connectors, but the thing is that the stock wiring is not good enough for the stock alternator, much less a higher performance one. With...

    Replacing clutch and pilot bearing

yeah you can rent a pilot bearing puller from autozone and you also will need the slide hammer unless you have one, which is big money to rent. You get all the money back, but just so you know, it's at least $100 to rent the puller and slide hammer if I remember correctly and maybe more than...

    hatchback or notchback?

I used to hate Notches, but now they're OK. I've had 2 LX hatches and one GT and zero notches. I can't say I'll never have a notch, but I still only think they're ok. LX 5.0 hatches are my favorites. With the exception of mileage, those cars are about the same. Get which style you like...

    need home computer help

Does it only do that one some websites but not others? Possibly the website you are visiting when it does that is a security risk. Norton has not done really well w/ the anti-virus tests and causes some hardware/software conflicts, so I haven't ran it for a few years. Update norton w/ the...

    push button start

I realize some people are naive sometimes and think that all new parts work properly because they're new. New parts are sometimes faulty out of the box. Several people have replaced alternators and starters with "new" ones and they didn't work either. If the thing is getting 12v to the end...

    I love 5.0's: header install!

yeah we need pics and let me know when the chrome burns off. I thought about getting some of these since my header paint burned off of my headers in...oh...probably 2 minutes if that. I guess it really doesn't effect anything

    push button start

ok, lets take a step back and think about this. I'm not trying to be an ass, but this seems to be pretty easy. If you have 12v at the wire that screws onto the top of the starter relay/solenoid, then anything before that (ignition switch, key tumbler, etc) is NOT the problem, as you've found...

    Carb newbies....READ THIS:

cool. I don't know anything about carbs, but a friend has a 74 Vette that's carbed. He was telling me that it has a mechanical secondary carb on it and he and his dad think it would be better w/ a vacuum secondary. That link seems to suggest that mechanical secondaries are better?:hail2:

    Which would you buy....

The HP difference between the two is not that much, but the V6's power probably comes at a higher RPM. I'm sure the GT has more low end torque, obviously. Anyway...the 2000 does seem kinda cheap. Do you have a garage for the 95 if you were to get it? Not something I'd want to keep outside...

    push button start

What exactly are you doing w/ the screwdriver? Are you jamming it in the key hole or are you jumping the starter solenoid with it? Do you have 12v with the key on at the little red wire that slides over the screw on the starter solenoid? If not, that may be your problem. If you'd rather...

    back to flowmasters or no?

if you want to quiet it down, put on some tail pipes....that'll make it a lot quieter, but won't change the tone necessarily. I like the flows, but some day I might try something different, who knows. If you haven't visited www.MustangExhaust.com, go there and check them out. The only thing...
