transgo is the most complete kit for the do it yerselfer. do the od servo at the same time, and watch that when you reinstall the od servo that you get it in the band lug otherwise you shift 1-2-3-neutral. not cool, i'm speaking from experience. transgo is the most recognized brand for trans...

    351 windsor heads???

depends what year they are from and casting#. look for the first four digits of the casting# should be a letter, a number, followed by two more letters. like e7te or f4tz. not many 351 heads will help you unless you have the right ones. some will in fact hurt performance.

Who can weld on some subframes?

lol, no. subframe connectors need to be welded in SOLID. there is no point in even having them unless they are married to the car. i would even venture to say that many available bolt on s/c's are not adequate for the serious racer. the tabs just aren't very big.

Finished the 393 but need to plug the old dip stick hole

i'm sure you can get a small cup plug. you could also make a plug out of a bolt or something. just gring a gradual taper and seal it with locktight and tap it in gently. but a cup plug would look better.

    K member help

thanks for the help guys, i guess i'll be busy. i don't have the car in front of me but do the motor mounts on the k member unbolt, or is there cutting and welding involved? i may as well put the 4 banger springs in at the same time.

    K member help

i'm also open to opinions on aftermarket k members as well, anyone using a QA1? i would like the wheels to stay in the stock position. keep in mind i am on a budget that just won't allow a complete coilover setup. not to mention this does need to pass a complete safety and structural...

    8.8" Rebuild Help

woven carbon material is incredibly durable. gm has been using this in their torque convertors since about 97. they intentionally slip the tcc in order to acheive a smooth lockup. if you can intentionally slip a product and have it last 100k miles or so, you've got a tough material.

    auto tranny problems

could be valvebody crossleaks as well, your best bet is to have it analyzed. could be as simple as the mlps sensor. see if there are any codes first off. never hurts to drop the pan and check for debris. 2nd sprag is known to fail.
