i'm trying to get my 89 5.0 on the road after a hit it took. they couldn't line up the wheels, i installed hotchkiss delta plates on top of the struts for lots of adjustment. they still couldn't line it up. i'm told i'll need a k member. i have a 90 4cyl. parts car, will the k member and control arms be the same?

Yeah I believe they are, I think ford made the difference between the 4cyl and the V8 cars in the motor mounts, other than the springs I think they should be the same. Can anybody else confirm this?

i'm also open to opinions on aftermarket k members as well, anyone using a QA1?
i would like the wheels to stay in the stock position. keep in mind i am on a budget that just won't allow a complete coilover setup. not to mention this does need to pass a complete safety and structural inspection before it can get reggies.

Yep, the 4 cylinder k-member is the same. The 6-cylinder foxbodies from the eighties had different k-members, but don't worry about that ;). Use the 8 cylinder mounts and it'll bolt up just fine. Also remember the control arms are different, so use the arms off the 5.0.

thanks for the help guys, i guess i'll be busy. i don't have the car in front of me but do the motor mounts on the k member unbolt, or is there cutting and welding involved? i may as well put the 4 banger springs in at the same time.
