    How to Improve Ride Quality

My V6 Mustang Coupe rides fine. Don't know where this comment came from. My 1966 Mustang handles better than my wifes 2005 Camry.

    How to Improve Ride Quality

Still running stock springs. After experiencing this ride, I was very hesitant about lowering the car. I really hate rough rides. So much so that if I cant get this problem fixed, I am going to concentrate on getting my 66 back on the road as a daily driver..... it rides smoother and has 375 HP...

    How to Improve Ride Quality

The car already has sub frame connectors, stock on a convertible. I had considered changing them, however I think it correct to change shocks and struts first. I am going to Ford Carlisle in June to look for a strut tower brace and a light bar. The light bar, while 99% decorative, is supposed to...

    How to Improve Ride Quality

I agree! No sense spending more money, with only slightly more marginal return. Besides If they don't work as intended, I'm not out 500 to 800 bucks.

    4.6 2v intake manifold extended coverage !!!

Do I have to be the original owner? Is Ford obligated to replace even if there is no crack? Is my 2000 GT covered under this program until 2007?

    How to Improve Ride Quality

Thanks for the quick reply. I checked the AUTOZONE site and they do not seem to carry the SVT Shocks anymore. Do you know if the GABRIEL_GUARDIAN shocks are an adequate substitute. The Auto Zone web site gives no detail.

    How to Improve Ride Quality

My 2000 GT rides like farm tractor with steel hoop wheels. On city streets, every bump on the road feels like I hit a 2ft deep pot hole. The dash rattles and squeeks and the impact makes CD skip. The hole car flexes and feels like it is going to fall apart. Being a convertible some flex is...

    BEST HEADS FOR 4.6

Can anyone suggest the best heads to use for adding HP. I plan on supercharging eventually. I want to maintain street driveability and highway use. Is there a head manufactured that would be good for a daily driver and allow good gains for a supercharger?

How do I Identify Torque Converter

Do you know if there is any disadvantage to running a 2200 to 2500 stall converter rather than stock. Since I have 3.89 gears on a 9" rear, I would think the RPMs' are going to be higher to get the gears moving any way. Not sure if I should me spending cash to get a stock converter.

How do I Identify Torque Converter

I have 1966 Mustang V8. Currently having engine rebuilt. Builder recomends 1800 to 2000 torque converter. Is there anyway to identify the Torque Converter stall speed from the casing. The car was originally used as a drag car. I have since restored using NOS parts. Engine is a 302 being bored...

    302 or 347

I took the heads to a speed shop here in Binghamton, NY. The proprietor gave me the run dowm, I'll try to sum up. 1.Too high a compression for stock OEM ford heads. 2.Push Rods to long. 3.No guideplates. 4.Roller rockers not good quality. 5.Two of the valves had worked loose and were in...

    302 or 347

I have a 1970 D0oE Engine/ Heads. Can not tell if heads have been reworked. Car ran great until I tore the top end off to find out what kind of cam and lifters it had. Discovered that every push rod was severely bent. Car ran strong, did not burn oil, but ran a little too rich and had a tendacy...

    EZ WIRING vs PAINLESS

Thanks everyone! Great info. I will probably go with EZ Wiring. Seems the smart way to get the job done.

    EZ WIRING vs PAINLESS

Did you have any problems hooking up guages and switches without the stock connectors?

    EZ WIRING vs PAINLESS

Thats what I couldn't understand from the pricing. Figured if the EZ was so much less expensive it had to be less in quality. Service is criticle, I have nevered wired anything. The thing that bothered me most about the EZ was that, from the pictures, it seems that the kit does not have any of...
