    MAF/VAM?

You're 88 N/A Stang does indeed have a MAP. The door in your airbox is just a diverter to run warm air into the engine when it's cold. There's a flexible hose that runs from the exhaust manifold to the airbox (you may or may not still have this as they tend to disappear quickly) You don't...

    Electrical problem...anyone got a diagram?

Ignition switch huh? I'd have never figured that, but I suppose anything's possible. I know for fact that the switch is original. The car has been in our family since new. We bought it and my wife's new '06 at the same dealership :)

    5Lug conversion/brakes

Get a 7.5 T-loc from a Bronco II or Ranger. I picked up one from EBay a while back. I need throw a new set of clutches in it, but other than that, I'm good to go.

    MAF/VAM?

VAMs aren't hard too hard to come by. To run a MAF, you'll need to do a little EEC programming(or find someone to do it for you). There are some changes that need to be made in the ECU so the computer properly interprets the signal coming from the MAF.

    MAF/VAM?

The VAM (vane air meter) is actually the forerunner of the MAF(mass air flow). The 2.3Ts came from the factory with a VAM located between the filter box and the turbo inlet. It uses a spring loaded door to translate incoming air quantity to the ECU. Simple, functional, but restrictive and not...

    Electrical problem...anyone got a diagram?

I've got a weird problem that just started on my '91. When I first start it up in the morning to go to work, or in the evening when I leave to come home, the A/C blower and the turn signals don't work. Hit a bump or go over a bad railroad crossing and Voila! They come back. Sounds like a...

    5Lug conversion/brakes

Hey Shinlee, unless you got a screaming deal on that 8.8, think about keeping the 7.5" Unless you plan on building a Huber-esque wheelstanding fire breathing all out race car, you're not going to hurt that 7.5.

    Lx Mustang

I'm pretty sure Ford used a different K-member than the 4&8 cyl Foxes. Good news is that you can snag one from a V8 or 4-banger car and be back in business, the bad news is that it's still a k-member swap. I'm about positive that the only different k-member in the Fox mustangs was the inline 6...

    Windshield Tint

LOL! Yup, they got all the cool stuff now don't they? Nothing like this was around when we were pushing Tonka trucks around in the dirt ;) :D

    Windshield Tint

I had you pegged younger than that. I'm 37, I'll be 38 next July. You're right about being pulled over if you were a kid. When I was working part time at Auto Zone I'd hear horror stories from the local kids being picked on by the cops for stuff like tint, bumper heights, lights, etc.

    Windshield Tint

Check your local laws regarding window tint. Some states don't allow tint of any kind below the "AS1" line. Look closely at your windshield in the corner about 4" down and you'll see "AS1" an arrow and a line. It's tiny but it's there. My Dodge truck is tinted below that line and I haven't...

    Post Whores

Yeah, the bolt-on rear quarters thing made my head hurt. :bang: There's sure been a few good ones like that. Oddly enough did you know that the Checker Cab actually does have bolted on rear quarter panels? It made panel replacement much easier and cheaper on a vehicle that often traded...

    headlight and brigtning

Anything you do with the headlights isn't going to be a permanent solution. Before I replaced my lights, I wet sanded the lenses with 800 then 1000 grit, then went over that with 3M rubbing compund, and finished up with a good coat of wax. That lasted the longest of any method I've tried.

    4cyl to 4cyl swap?

Ditto what RedLX said. Take em loose at the frame. Much easier to get to and remove/install.

    Why Me?! ( v2.0 )

Your's must be a 92 or 93. Pop the cover and check the shifter. I haven't seen one of these in a Mustang, so I can't say for sure, but in other cars, there's a solenoid on the shifter that works the interlock. It could be gummed up or worn.

    Body Panels?

Which Mustang had bolt on rear quarter panels? FYI, they were unibody too. ;) At one time these parts were available from Ford, but those days are long gone. I don't hink anyone has picked up the ball on fox-body sheetmetal. You could try Keystone, but fitment has always been an issue...

3G alternator bracket mod for 2.3

The top hole is what started this thread ;) If you clearance the bottom bracket, it will allow the alternator to rotate counter-clockwise more and line up with the other mount.

3G alternator bracket mod for 2.3

Here's another shot. I ran out of attachment space so I had to host it off-site.
