Who's running trickflow TW heads on their 331/347's?

I run ported TFS Track Heats on a 357 (.030 over stock stroke 351W). The car uses the Comp 292R solid roller cam and a Victor 5.8 intake and makes 372 at the tires on a Mustang MD-600-HP dyno which is very close to 500 HP at the flywheel. This is naturally aspirated. If I were you, I'd get...

Is there anyone on here that actually knows what they are talking about?

This is not internet mythology. Take a look at E7 heads sometime and you will see the tiny exhaust ports which are further restricted by the thermactor humps and even the valve guides protruding into them. Port just the exhaust and run the same valvetrain and cam and you will pick up around 30...

Is there anyone on here that actually knows what they are talking about?

I'm going to assume that you are running a Comp 270HR part number 35-310-8. If so, your exhaust lift is actually .544 not .533 and your lobe center angle is 114*. Despite some comments to the contrary on this thread, the duration of this cam is virtually the same as stock but with a slightly...

    Engine blocks

Your requirements - dirt cheap block and 9's or low 10's - are at odds with each other, especially if you are trying to do it with a 302 based block. My suggestion is to go with a stock 351W block, which is much stronger than a 302 block, and can be found easily and for next to nothing. In...

    Who's still driving their stang?

If you have a 99 plus with traction control, just slap some blizzaks on and it's no problem to drive all year round. Mine's a better winter car than my Taurus. Really, I think the days of having to park your Mustang for the winter are truly over. -Matthew

25-35 oil pres.----how much more time?

I wouldn't sweat it too much. If you are really worried, try running 20-50. -Matthew

    Getting Parts from the US

That's nonsense - you don't need a broker to ship something from one Canadian location to another Canadian location. Alberta hasn't seceded from Canada yet! What vendor in Alberta were you dealing with that charged you a service fee other than shipping? -Matthew

    Getting Parts from the US

Just an idea, but if you order your parts from some place in Alberta you can at least avoid the PST and brokerage. -Matthew

    PTK 4.6 2v dyno #'s

Just a minor correction, assuming you are talking about the overlay I provided, it was against a 2003 6.0L Powerstroke, and I'm pretty sure that the truck made 30 ft-lbs more than the car, but it was pretty darned close, and considering the ultra-conservative tune on the car, I wouldn't be...

    GT Winter Driving

I have an '02 GT Convertible, and with Blizzaks and Traction Control, it's the best winter car I've ever had. Way better than my Taurus for example. The days of parking your Mustang for the winter in Canada due to drivability are gone. -Matthew

Any other 03/04 cobras out there?

He's talking dynojet horsepower, and they make around 355 at the tires stock on a dynojet. They make about 315 at the tires stock on a Mustang dyno. A cold air intake, MAF, throttle body, and cat back is worth about 50 hp at the tires on a Mustang dyno, even without a chip tune or Predator...

Benefits of swap headers on 351w ! plz help!!!

As an FYI, I used Mac's 351W swap headers. Once in, they fit pretty good, even with a Macleod bell housing. The steering shaft goes between the #6 and #7 primary and is a little bit of a pain in the ass to install as a result. -Matthew

I use a Mallory HyFire. Seems pretty good, costs a little less, and has more power than the MSD. -Matthew

    Three Hills Cruise - Calgary

I'm not entirely sure what you are asking, but the point of leaving at 8:00 am together is to ensure that cruise participants can participate in the show 'n shine, and park together on the street. There is no obligation to be in the show 'n shine though, so you can cruise with us then peel off...

    Three Hills Cruise - Calgary

You don't have to pre-register, but at Three Hills you have to arrive together to park together, and you need to get there early, hence the 8:00 am sharp departure time. The cruise is free, the show 'n shine at Three Hills is $10 per car if memory serves me correctly. It's either $5 or $10...
