    Looking For My Old Mustang

@SuperStang83 bought my car back in 07ish. Haven't heard from him in a while or anything about the car. Kinda curious how it ended up. Wasn't much to look at but was fun to work on. Last photos I have of it are above. I think it is all flat black now. @HISSIN50 helped work on it when he was in...

Paint and Body Fox Body Painting 101

Dave, It's been a long time since I met (kinda met) a guy like you. You really do give a lot of your time to this site and I bet that doesn't stop here. There are few friends that I have who would stop what they are doing to help me. If you lived closer, I bet you'd be one of those guys...

95 5.0, What To Look For

The door jams and engine still being red are horrible. Suspension looks stock as it sits real high. They're rated at 300tq but I agree with everyone else here, seriously doubt it has 200hp.

Can you just sit in her for a bit. Put Doby in the corner for a little see if things turn around? I don't think I could give it away to someone else who has no skin in the game. Just my .02

Changing My Vin. On My Pcm

Yup. They got Arizona too. Before they would just plug in and it was a quick deal. Now they are digging deeper into the computer to see what monitors are being turned off. Getting ridiculous.

Paint and Body 1962 Impala - Bodywork

Seeing this I realize how much of an amateur I am with simple painting tasks. I'm still stripping mine. Taking a while but I'm following daves advice and taking a panel at a time. Once it's all down I'll hit it with 150-180 grit and primer it all at once.

Build Thread 1978 Mercury Cyclone. The pig is in the pen.

I bought a Giant hard tail mountain bike with front suspensions. Very comfortable to ride and control. The issue with the cheap bikes is they really don't last long. I bought my oldest boy a Walmart special mountain joke and we went through 2-3 returns because certain pieces would fall off or...

Paint and Body 1962 Impala - Bodywork

Hmmm it's been sitting in its current state for about two weeks. Other projects have come up (honey dos)and I was fully intent on going over it with 180 plus we don't have a ton of humidity in Az and I think we'll be triple digits this weekend. Should I plan on just hitting it with 180 anyways...

Paint and Body 1962 Impala - Bodywork

Hmmm my car has been in metal for a few weeks... I still have to hit it with 180 anyways so I don't get dieback from the rougher grit used to strip it.

    Can This Be Welded?

Hard to see but is there a lot of corrosion on the ends. I agree with Mike, I would butt weld that thing. Put some hose clamps around it and tighten them down, put some spot welds just enough to hold it and then run a line.

I've seen guys use these pads for sanding corners where the primer is thinner so they don't cut through it. This is a big no no? Suggests for sanding these areas?

That is damn sexy. I wish you lived closer. You'd leave with cases of beer , minus what we drank, just to have you give me hands on advice and slap me when I'm doing something wrong.

Paint and Body Fox Body Painting 101

I got a lot of the bad spots down to metal and just when I think I can scuff the rest of the body that paint in that area just flakes off like nothing. Looks like the sun really did a number on this thing. Going to take it down to metal on main body and scuff the jambs. A lot of work to get it down.
