    An S-trim head unit on a 99 Cobra will make 13lbs of boost at 7,000 RPM's right out of the box. This is not the E-trim or SC-trim that Vortech sells in the complete kit. I ordered an S-trim head unit specifically so that I would have plenty of room to grow when I build a forged shortblock...

    This is a brand new tuner kit, and if I change pullies it will void the warranty. The car will be dyno tuned after the S-trim is installed, i'm not using the supplied Vortech chip.

    Because an S-trim will make up near 500 and that's too much for a stock bottom end.

    If you have H/C/I on your current Cobra then a stock 99 Cobra won't be faster. They will go fast with the right parts though. I've been high 7's in the 1/8th with a stock motor, and I've got an S-trim on the way.

    I'm thinking about running a steeda underdrive crank pulley on my 99 Cobra with an S-trim to keep the boost down till I do a forged shortblock. Is there any downsides to this?

    My understanding is that being a tooth off doesn't matter as long as there's enough clearance around the TFI to get the car in time.

    used 03 Cobra or New Mach 1??

    Dude, a Mach 1 with NOTHING but Nitto's will go 12's with a good drive. Paul from Paul's High Performance did when they first came out. ITLRUN has been 12.29 on slicks with a 4.30 gear, springs, shifter, and exhaust.

    what tires were you running on stock wheels and what tires are you running now? There's no way going from a 8" wheel to a 10.5" wheel is gonna add 2/10's unless the new tires won't hook like the old ones did.

    Don't put a stock clutch back in it, mine blew apart shifting into 3rd on the street(not power shifting). I have a Spec Stage II and it's less pedal effort than stock and hold up to my rev limiter launches at the drag strip.

    Are these symptoms of a bad ECM???

    The car will continuously rev at 3000 with both plugged in. All the Mustangs i've owned would idle normal with the IAC unplugged, I thought it only functioned when driving or with the A/C on? It shows on the Corral to set the idle where you want it with the IAC unplugged, then plug it back...
