    Ya I torqued it down correctly I followed the books specs on numbers and order(which is the same that you mentioned.) Tomorrow morning I am going to button it all up and turn the key. Everybody here will see either :banana: or :bang: We shall see.

    Head gasket change. It is almost all together. Just this and the upper intake to go. Wanted to make sure that it goes together right. I was talking about the U shaped things that go between the head and the rocker not the ones in the rocker themselves. Now I just have to go torque them...

    I have done a search and got most of the information that I need but have another(fairly stupid) question. I am using the bone stock rockers and they have the U shaped part under them. Which direction does that part go. Is the U part facing up or down? Also any other quick tips on adjusting...

    I agree it is a good call. The disconnect tools are really cheap and easy to use. I just undid them myself the other day it is fairly easy to do. They are worth saving, and it is probably easier to remove it the right way.

    To answer your question, yes it probably is the stock tranny but without the numbers we can't be 100% sure.

    Well in that case all you need to do is go to your local jeep dealer and get the 23 tooth gear. That is the one you will need to correct(or close enough) both 3.73 and 4.10 gears in your car. I am assuming it is a manual.

    What year car? Which gears? I am assuming that you are posting in this section that you have a 5.0 and not a newer mustang. So all you nead to correce the speedo is a new gear like said above. The newer mustangs need reprograming but that would be a question for the 4.6 forum

    I need to know when to use thread lock or anti seaze or to put the bolt in oil or whatever i might have to do . Is there a rule of thumb to use or is it application specific.

    Just go to your local jeep dealer and get the 23 tooth gear. It isn't 100% accurate but it is about 99.8% so don't worry about it.

    130k is nothing. You have to think the newest 5.0's are 10 almost 11 years old. I have 127k on mine and it runs awesome. I have owned 3 stangs all with over 100k and haven't worried about the engines at all. The trannys are a different story. The stock 5speed's are weak even for a stock...

    It sounds like you did get hosed on labor. What else did they have to buy?

    I agree. 3.73's will be great for the street and any track time that you give your car. Also It is recomended that you get ford gears instead of some other brand people say they fit better.
