    6 volts. The CVR drops it down. You may need to replace it, but make sure it is securely mounted...ie...grounded to the dash assembly.

    If it is inside the car it's usually not an issue. The MSD guideline is for under hood mounting when the heat is more severe.

    Remove the glove box innards and make a plate to mount everything where the box section used to be. Use the glove box as an access cover...nice one at that. You will need to route the wires through the firewall, but it looks good, is hidden and will be out of the heat.

    289 / 302 4 Bolt Main Conversion?

    You can convert th 289 to 4 bolt caps, but you are better off with a later block and an aftermarket like Hearne said. Besides, with the later blocks you can run a longer stroke without running into piston skirt issues.

    Manual drums to manual disc/drums. Made a big difference in stopping and in stopping straight. Never had an issue with having to lean hard on the pedal and I could probably hit the first turnoff from 130 if I had to.

    Custom exhaust.......needed some big pipe. 333 and built C-4. No kickdown linkage either. It's tight, but doable.

    My Headman shorties fit without moving a thing. The driver's side is like a rubics cube though. All of a sudden it drops in. Takes 15 min to do whether its been a month or five minutes since you took it out. It does go in though.

    You can also upgrade to a 69 headlight switch. 20-22 amp vs the 14 in the 65. You have to modify the spacer, but a little JB weld and a file takes care of it.

    Is the firing order for a 302 or 351. Check the cam card and make sure you have the correct firing order with the plug wires.

    The 1/4 inch would be toward the motor. You probably figured this out from the picture, but just being sure.

    If you pull up on the brake does the light go out? Could be the linkage hanging and needs new bushings or the Master could be sticking.
