    Yes, stangs are too heavy. I think to compensate 500 lbs weight difference and F/R bias S197 got to have at least 600hp to the wheels just to keep up with C6 Zo6. Plus, some skills not to screw up.:bang:

    Where's the driver's race?? Both automatics. Both begin from rolling. You either floor the gas or not. I don't see any other variable in drivers.:shrug: Besides the gas pedal and keeping the wheel straight, what else you can do? Apply the hand brake?:lol:

    I totally agree. The reason they didn't compare Shelby to ZO6 is their performance is NIGHT and DAY difference. Z06 would rape Shelby in every category. Also, Z06 cost $25k more.:nono: If Shelby had mustang's GT weight, then it wouldn't be that bad.

    While ET varies on traction, the trap speed stays more or less the same. 11sec times maybe are feasible with lots of clutch slip and powershifting, but I don't think 121 trap speed is possible in stock trim.

    Trap speed would increase, but ET would be the same. This pig is way too much nose heavy. You would think that Ford learned it's mistake with previous mustangs...Ford designers should be in jail for this mistake. Almost 60% of weight is in the front...How stupid they are:shrug:

    Ls1 get WAY BETTER mileage, especially on the highway. 2 reasons for that: 6th gear for F-body is very tall and mustangs aerodynamics is like SUV's. Plus, mustang's suspension is like SUV- stands way too high.

    I agree. There more to a car than 1/4 mile. But common, would you really trade your cobra for a new boxter? The feeling would be like trading 99GT to a new Miata: handles and brakes awesome but accelerates twice slower. With that much hp you have on your cobra I think you would need 911 turbo...
