    Stupid battery tray....wtf?

One other thing. Don't be surprised if you have to bend the support arm on the tray slightly to get the bolt holes to line up.

    Stupid battery tray....wtf?

Not sure if they are the same but on a 65 you must loosen the bumper brace to get access to the one lower tray bolt. They don't have nuts on them just screw in. Mine had one stripped out so I had to put a nut on it.

The cure for a unlevel rear end?

Since I got the car the right (passenger side) of the car sat about 1 to 2 inches higher than the left. I recently moved the battery from the trunk ( driver side) to the correct under hood location. Also installed a big front sway bar. Problem corrected. Don't know which cured it, maybe both ...

    5 leaf spring question

The previous owner put 5 leaf springs under my 65. The car sets up too high in the rear and is very stiff. Anyone removed the small lower spring and if so what results? PS. swapped the 4 speed out for a C4 ( yea yea I know but I'm an old dude and don't wanna mess with shifting gears all the...

    Which igntion set-up?

Got a dual point Pertronix 2 in my 65. Noticed an immediate difference in power and starting. It's a fairly cheap way to go for what you get. Plan on setting the timing after installation.

    What colour is "Parchment"?...

Medium Parchment is being used in late model Mustangs. Looks good in a black car or dark green- IMO.

    Pertonix kit in

Checked with Pertronix tech assistance and the dual point kit does come on a plate that mounts it in the correct location. Just took the car out now and it actually started and ran better than before.Think the timing may be off a little but thats easy enough to correct. Thanks

    Pertonix kit in

The dual point kit didn't come with a guage and it is mounted on a metal plate that doesn't allow for any adjustment that I can tell ,UNLESS I mounted it wrong--gonna double check just in case. Thanks guys and Merry Christmas!

    Pertonix kit in

It came mounted on a metal plate that fit over on of the point pivot studs and then fastened down with one screw. I only saw one way of mounting it but maybe I mounted it wrong. Guess I can go back and pull it to see if there is another location.

    Pertonix kit in

Put a Pertonix in my dual point distributor. Ran fairly smooth before-now it's running rough-started ok. Is it common to have to adjust the timing or is it another problem. Don't have a timing light.

    4 speed to automatic

Have a 65 coupe that I love except for one thing - Don't like the 4 speed. Anyone made the swap to an automatic and how tough would it be? Want to keep the car just want to make cruisin easier.
