    Well I just put a $5.00 pilot bushing from a small block Chevy in to my 5.0 so I could install a T/C trans. It is a PERFECT FITMENT!!!

    Will $cyl tranny be good with swap

    So how much power(torque) will an '88 T/C trans stand up to? 265ish,like the early 5.0s do? I just put one in my STOCK '89 GT (I used a small block Chevy pilot bushing) and I'm HOPING it will be alright. AND I'm looking foward to the steeper 1st gear over the V8 trans!

    Trans Aren't the pilot bearings differant sized? Why YES THEY ARE!! Be sure to use the correct bearing. I just did the reverse of what you are doing. Putting in a T/C trans in to a GT. I had to use a pilot bushing from a small block Chevy to make the swap.
