    SLP Loudmouth II

I have to say my SLP1 with catted-x sounds good and many people I know agree. It does not resonate and it sure don't sound like a truck. I will not be replacing my soon or within a year or two. I have heard sound clips of the SLP II, and it may sound nice but it's too damn quiet. But...

    SLP Loudmouth II

Nope, reddrgn01gt you're not the only one who likes LM1's. I love mine. With the catted x-pipee.

    Predator and Kenne Bell

This may be a dumb question, and I am sure I have seen it asked before. But was not able to find anything on it. I have a Predator that I have used for my 2000 Mustang GT. I have on order a Kenne Bell, so I know I have to remove the built in tune. My question is it still locked to my car...

    Is this BS or No????

I tend to agree it must be fwhp, not rwhp.

    SLP Exhaust Questions

I love my SLP I. I have the catted-X and the SLP 1's. It is loud, but has an awesome sound when you get on it. I even let a friend drive it while I listened to it going down the road. Man, it sounded good.

    plez help very bad vibration

If it was me? I'd go back and remove everything you put on. And re-install it the correct way by torquing things to spec. It might work. But you may have warped something by tightening it down too much too. Only way to find out is to do it again. You won't make it any worse.

Too Tune or not to Tune, that is the question..

I'd say forget the tune for now. I doubt it would do much for you. Save it for when you do more.

    SLP passing emissions

Mine never had a problem of passing emissions. I don't think there is a decibel test here that I know of. Now that I have the catted X-pipe it's even louder. But at idle the SLP is not too loud. But get on it and it is. I love the sound.

    4.10 gears

You won't notice a decrease in mpg, or much any way. You'll actually be able to use 5th gear if a standard. But you will have alot more fun with it I assure you. Best thing I did was put 4.10s in mine. You will be doing about 3000 rpm at 80mph. You will have to recalibrate your speedo if...

Baby had a hiccup this morning

Re: Mine does that when cold too. Backing out of my garage and down the driveway is fine. It has not come off high idle yet. But trying to give it some gas to go up the street it will stumble a bit when very cold out. At the stop sign at the top of the street I really have to feather the...

What tools should I use to remove the stud on the...

I used the vice grips on mine. The penetrating oil did not work. The guy was out of PB Blaster, so sold me what he said was next best. The lower one was not too hard. The upper was a pain since it was harder to get a grip on. I went out and bought the curves jaw vice grips. My old pair...

    3.55 or 3.73

Go with the 4.10s. You will not regret it. :flag:

    heater core haters unite!

I had one go in my old 85 Capri. Actually twice. Once under warranty. The second time I had to fix it myself. It was a royal pain. Had to remove the dash. Antifreeze does not lend itself to easy cleaning off your inside of the windshield either. The reason you may not see any leaks on...

Loud noise in rear when going over bumps?

I sprayed a bit of WD-40 on the hanger, and it made the rubber part come off much easier. A screwdriver may help too. Just don't tear or damage the rubber hanger.

    What next?

Re: what next I have considered the plenum. Which is a good choice? The long tubes must be a pain to get the old exhaust manifold off and the new on? It's mighty tight up there. I had fun putting the x-pipe on. The cams might be nice. The blower is not feasible right now as I just had...

    What next?

Hi, So far I have done these mods. 4.10s, 70mm throttle body, CAI, Predator tune, SLP LM1, and SLP catted X. The car is alot more fun to drive now. It had 223 rwp (dynojet) stock before I made any changes. What would be the next recommendation? TIA. Tim

    Need help, whinning rear-end

Could it be your axle bearings? One of mine was bad and it was pretty noisy. My Dad, an ex mechanic knew what it was immediately. Since I was going to have to pull the axels I figured that was a good time to swap a new 4.10 in for the rear. Best thing I could have done, plus got the bearings...

Anyone have a BBK CAI? (please come in)

Bbk Cai I have one of these too, and am very happy with it. I noticed quite a few at local Mustang shows.

    Gears improvement

3.73 versus 4.10s I was originally going to go with 3.73s also. I am glad I read the posts here before I did. I went with 4.10s and am very happy. Even the guy doing the install recommends 4.10s unless I was doing lots and lots of highway driving. The car is so much more responsive now...
