Air Cleaner for 72 Mach 1 Ram Air & 351C

You're right ! I called them, and this does appear to be the real deal. $214, unpainted, no lid, and no seal. Still a pretty good deal compared to anything else out there. Only problem is, as you say they are sold out, and really can't tell me when they expect more in. I put my name on...

Air Cleaner for 72 Mach 1 Ram Air & 351C

Laurel Mountain eh ? I checked their website, and they don't have it posted... I would have thought for something like that they would make a bigger deal. I'll call them later. Are you sure we're talking the same thing ? The carb in the 351 Cleveland is offset, so the air cleaner I need...

Air Cleaner for 72 Mach 1 Ram Air & 351C

Hi Guy's, Been off the board for a while... I've recently lucked into a set of flappers and a Plenum for Ram Air in my Mach 1. That just leaves the Air Cleaner, which is a pretty unique device. Someone sells a fiberglass repro on the net for $425, and crappy originals can go for upwards...

Engine color in '72 Mach 1

Hmm. My paint was 1601, which is the light blue. Thanks for the article, but it's a little confusing. They talk about the named colors, but then identify the paint as 'Light & Dark' blue... I'll go after the darker 1606 stuff.... but that picture you included sure looks like the lite...

Engine color in '72 Mach 1

Can anyone tell me the correct color code for the engine in a '72 Mach 1 ? Also if you could describe the color. I picked up a can of 'Ford Blue' engine enamel, which is sort of a sky blue, but the remnants of paint on mine is a deeper blue, anmost the color of the Stangnet Banner on...

    does this sounds fishy?

I just posted this in another thread. Tell him to send you a Postal Money Order. Your post office will cash a Canada Post Money order no problem, and you'll have the cash in hand. Any one horse town in Canada has a post office, and they'll do it in $US so he would have no excuse.

EBay sellers sometime suck..anyone near Albuquerque, NM

Being in Canada, I've used Paypal, and never had a problem. Also they credit & debit your Visa so you have an added level of protection. For Money orders, the best route is the postoffice. There as cheep as 7-11, and any country's post office will accept any other countriy's Postal Money order.

    Why you chose a II?

I was looking for a daily driver, since I was afraid to take my '72 to a parking lot. I was also looking for a platform to do the engine work myself this time. (I know just enough to be dangerous) Turns out the II is way more fun to drive, and I always get a kick out of people telling...

    5 Speed from late 80's 4s & 6s

Folks, I've been toying with the ideal of moving up to a 5 speed in my 77 II with a 302. I've read several threads about the upgrade, but have yet to have a transmission fall into my hands. While prowling the junkyard, I didn't see any 302/5spd combinations, but I did see...
