    You can make just about any pedal assembly work if you have the time and skill. BUT, do you want original, then I would get a 65 model, If you have a performance engine then I would get rid of the linkage and go with a cable.

    Brake Light Switch

    If you changed the pushrod then the angle of the "head" on that rod is different. The brake light switch is adjustable.     I agree with Zookeeper, I have reved some of my 289 engines to 8000 RPMs on a stock rod. I would have them checked and the rotating assy balanced and also run the thicker 289 hi-po main caps.

    Yes, I have a TCI PERFORMANCE VALVE BODY IN MY 65 C4 trany. I can shift manual from 1, 2 ,3 and hold 1 and 2 to max it out OR I can be lazy and let it shift itself. I like it alot. I got mine from CJPONTPARTS.COM as there only 5 miles from me:D Part number VB1 at about 286.00
