    the intake will work with your heads but just remember some of the people giving you advice have NOT actually done the EXACT swap you mentioned some of the intake advice given, imo, is junk but if you want very good hp gains - a manifold/carb swap by itself is not going to be worthwhile...

    i dont think a carb rebuild would necessarily fix a carb related problem it could still be out of tune for your car's setup

    someone gave me some advice on it before, but i think it got deleted i forget how to use the test light to see where the drain is is it, disconnect the ground from the battery and clip the light to the pos terminal - then touch the ground battery terminal with the light - if it lights up...

    if everything else is good, id replace the solenoid although ive had success with several different parts interchange when hearing solenoid noises

    just of note: ive never been impressed with teh 1/4 mile times of street cars with the performer rpm cam i think a good choice would be inbetween the performer and performer rpm

    no experience, but if i get nice heads someday im going to port my torker1 intake myself (maybe) based on the article on jason.fletcher.net matter of fact, that article talks about porting a rpm manifold for a 351... the rpm stock flowed a crapload and they got minimal returns from porting...

    well, ive had this misfire/backfire problem for a long time now thinking it was carb, cam or other related i just kind of didnt rev over 5500 the misfire is almost guaranteed at 6krpm i have the performer cam, stock heads, 2.8 gear, c4 tran, 2 different intakes and carbs, headers, 2 inch...

    with any kind of traction you should be well into the 13's you have a good cam for low end torque which will work fine with a high gear and low stall converter - you'll dust him no doubt

    well, i determined it was a lean bog because turning the idle screws out to 3/4 would result in smoke at idle but less/no bog so, i go yesterday to buy some new slightly bigger jets stock is 70 primary 78 secondary so, im pulling out teh old jets and what do i find - 66 primary 70 secondary...

    ok, i opened the secondaries about a 3/8ths turn idle is better... but i still have a definite tip in problem (since i closed the idle screws below 3/4) next step - open the idle screws back to 3/4ths and test if im still having the problems... im going to change the pump cam hole here...
