    Thats the problem..It doesnt return to normal height as fast as it used to..And from all the way up to part of the way down (even with the brake pedal) it does nothing to the cable..So its got a lot of play..

    Clutch pedal question

    What makes the clutch pedal return to the up (disengaged) position? The pedal in my car doesnt come back up fast enough, and its making it harder to drive.. Is there a spring in the pedal itself, or is it because of cable tension on the clutch fork?

    Magnaflow vs. Mac and everything in between...

    My dad has Mac 3" kit on his 00 Stang. Sounds louder and raspier than my 00 Stang does with Flowmaster 2 chamber cat back. The Magnaflow sound doesnt do anything for me..I like the drone! If I were going to spend that much on a kit that wasnt loud, I would have got a genuine Borla kit...

    I had this problem before too. It ended up being the clutch.. I would be driving slow in 1st or 2nd gear, let off of the gas after accelerating lightly, then clunk clunk jerk jerk.. Its kind of annoying.

    200-300 in Ohio.. 200.00 would be if no bearings need replaced. I havent heard of a price higher than 300.00 around here. I checked with Dayton 5.0, they have a gear, installation, and fluids package for around 400.00! I guess that wouldnt help you, since the cost in gas would be higher...

    The navi engine is similar..But the cams, intake, and heads are all different. You can now buy the equivalent of everything except for the intake..But you can get a Sullivan or the Reichard (when it finally comes out) and be better anyway.

    You cant go wrong with a VT, DSS, or Coast high performance built short block. In MM&FF they gained 18hp just by switching to a DSS built short block, and all other stuff (including compression) was the same. And that wasnt even with using the lighter weight pistons that they have available.

    Question on speedometer recalibration

    Get a speedcal..Fairly cheap.. or if you have a little more mo' to spend, then get a Predator..u can fix the calibration problem, and pick up a few hp and tq to boot.

    How much of a gain from porting PI heads?

    Fox lake claims 150hp from changing to their stage 2 ported heads, stage 2 cams, and valvetrain upgrade. I think its exaggerated, but porting heads gains much more hp with non-stock cams. Ive heard of people gaining 40-50hp with stage 2 porting, and cams.

    The 05 shifter is way different even though the transmission is the same..The changed the design in the 05 to reduce noise and vibration from the transmission..It has a linkage setup like a focus or other newer car!

    I got a Stalker kit and a Cobra R kit from Cervinis. The fit and quality is excellent! Most companies dont make stuff out of fiberglass any more..They use plastic types of materials like urethane so that they flex and bend instead of cracking!
