Oil pan job leads to what else

When i eyeballed the project I had visions of becoming so frustrated that I imagined taking a reciprocater to the k-member in a blind rage. I am just going to do it right and pull the whole motor.

Oil pan job leads to what else

Hey Team - I am gearing up for a big weekend on my back. My oil pan plug has been stipped and re-threaded so many times that it is now essentially worthless at keeping in the oil. While I am replacing the oil pan, what other maintenance projects should I tackle while the motor is raised...

    rearend question

this is how you go 5lug and keep the rear drums: 5-Lug Coversion Kit - '79-'93 Ford Mustang this is perhaps more popular, but much more elaborate and has rear discs: Cobra R Disc Brake Conversion Kit - '79-'93 Ford Mustang lastly there is the junkyard part swap option too which is out of my...

    Fox Vert top issues

They do burn out, and most usually under the stress of going up. Double check the fuses and hope that is the problem. The pump is located under the liner in the boot. Pop out a handful of screws to remove the vinyl and there she is. You can take the fluid out and disconnect the motor to...

Right turn rear clunking sound. Help?

i had a similar problem that would manifest itself more intensely when more weight was present. I tracked it down to the hard brake line rubbing against an imperfection on the rim. I rotated the tires and reshaped the line and by-by wapwapwapwap.

    convertible vs. hatch/notch dash

hey guys - the dash on my convertible has seen some abuse and i'd like to swap it out with one in better condition. are the units from hatch backs or notches shared by the convertibles, or should i narrow my search to find a specific 1989 convertible dash replacement. to...

    70mm TB

i wish that i had saved up money for a new manifold that doesn't require a spacer than just running out and getting a tb and a spacer. look at the cobra intake, bbk ssi or others that have a "built in" spacer. in hindsight it'll make more sense than committing to the egr spacer when i'm sure...

What can you do in 48 hours?

2.73 to 3.73 gears (any problems?)

you'll have to teach yourself how to shift again - that will be the only problem

    Saving memory when disconnecting battery?

it takes a good 10 minutes at least for the memory to clear. i don't know much about speed density, but mt beat up pony with MAF goes from stalling once after re-connecting the battery to running like a champ within two minutes. the poor performance you might have been experiencing after...

    bike rack

lets all laugh at me together and then we'll go from there: i am looking for a bike rack that could clip on to my 89 lx convertible. i haven't tried anything yet, but i'm pretty sure that most designs need more surface area than exists between the bumper and rag top. anyone here have...

    Thinking of new Battery

man my optima redtop has saved me so many times. once when driving home from school my alternator blew and i made it the rest of the 45 minutes home on battery power alone at night with the head lights on. i've drained it at least five times from leaving the headlights on (i never should have...
